I am a local resident of Monterey County, and I was honestly shocked that I hadn't visited this place sooner. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was very professional. The only thing worth noting is that they do charge a tourist tax, likely due to the location on Cannery Row, which is a very tourist-heavy area. It's helpful to know this in advance, but overall, the experience and food were excellent.
The food and service here are always perfect. We have been here many times whenever we visit Monterey. Eat here, you won't be disappointed. Music by artist John Shay is a big plus.
The bar and restaurant are busy but the service is excellent, very friendly and quick. The food and cocktails were great and the view is lovely. We stayed at the hotel and the breakfast was also wonderful. Top marks to the Intercontinental!
