Lucas Sellers Wine Winery • $$
330 Zachary St UNIT 108, Moorpark

“Surprisingly good wine. Fruit sourced from up and down the coast. They have a really broad spectrum of wines and all that we tasted are handled deftly. All the wines tasted had a depth, and sufficient time in barrel, to really shine but yet were very accessible. The winemaker and wife? Were very friendly and engaging. Definitely recommend dropping by. There is also a brewery next door as well as a pizza place and coffee roaster. Highly recommend it.“

“I love Atost’s aperitifs and I love their customer service. Every holiday season I buy some bottles for coworkers and friends. They are always a hit. This season I purchased 5 bottles but unfortunately FedEx messed up my delivery. Emily, Atost’s event manager, and Kyle, Atost’s founder, were so quick to respond to my email and resolve the shipping/delivery issue. The company goes above and beyond with both their products and their service. I will continue to be a regular Atost customer.“

“We had been wanting to try this place for a while and we were not disappointed. Not only do they have a great cause for non profit dog rescues, but their wine is delicious. The owners are friendly, knowledgeable and fun to hang out with on a Saturday afternoon! Be sure to try the Chardonnay and VinZin, you won’t be disappointed! Thank you, Melanie for a great experience!“

Back Patio Cellars Winery • $$
930 Flynn Rd Unit F, Camarillo

“Tasting Flight: $20/tasting for 5 pours (and possibly an additional pour at the end). First visit and got to meet both Frank (Winemaker) & Jen (Hospitality), the gracious owners of Back Patio Cellars. Hidden within a business park, this boutique winery and cider house offers something for everyone. They have a cute tasting room, and of course a "back patio" area, but we preferred the comfy "living room" seating area inside the barrel room (I love a nice barrel room). One minor complaint is that they don't have a printed tasting list, or even a comprehensive list of their wines/prices. WINES: We were able to try a '21 Albarino, a '19 Viognier, a '20 Rosé of Granache, a '19 carbonic Cabernet Sauvignon, a '20 Syrah, and a '16 Cab Sauv. from Lodi. We loved the two whites, and the Syrah and Lodi Cab, taking home several bottles. My mother-in-law had a glass of their Cinnabon cider, which was quite nice. They had nine flavors of cider on tap the day of our visit. No food available, other than bags of chips, but feel free to bring your own munchies and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and tasty wines/ciders! Overall, we had a nice experience getting to know Jen & Frank and trying their wines. IMO, Back Patio Cellars is definitely worth a visit.“

“Shelby was so kind and hospitable. She welcomed us in and made us feel at home. The Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon were my favorites but everything was delicious. The atmosphere is very relaxing and quiet. Above all it was the service and the quality of the wine that made me sign up for the wine club. I’ll be back real soon. Thanks again Shelby :-))“

Alma Sol Winery Winery •

“My fiancé and I were going out for a much needed date afternoon together. When walking into the winery it was very welcoming and pleasant. Right away we met John, who went above and beyond for us. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the different wines. I loved all of them! We got complimentary crackers that were good as well. I walked two doors down and ordered a pizza that was delivered in 10 minutes! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and took home some wine. I will definitely be back! Thanks John for the amazing experience!“

“We found this gem while driving to a nearby furniture store. The building was so cute we just had to try their wines. We were NOT disappointed. We were immediately greeted by the friendly owners who made us feel welcomed. Four of us wine tasted and loved every single wine! None of us care for sweet wines so we almost passed on the dessert and port wine offerings but the owner/winemaker explained they do not add sugar and the wines are not "sweet". He was absolutely correct. The port was amazing and easy to drink. Yummy. The Cab Franc, Chard, and Petite Sarah were top of the list for all of us but each wine was so unique and delicious. These wines aren't like your typical blends. They are special in many ways! We've never been wine tasting when each of us loved every single wine we tasted. We left we lots of bottles of wine. LOL :) They also have in house made ciders with no sugar added and they are SOOO good. Insanely good. The owners (married couple) are so kind and made us feel so welcomed. We will most definitely be back!!!“
