“It was a warm summer day and the purpose of our visit was the happy hour lunch at the Maddalena restaurant. When we got there it happened to be closed for a private party. While we were disappointed, we were able to be accommodated outside at the 1917 bar and patio. They had a huge fan, lots of shade, and misters. It was really tolerable and the afternoon had a breeze. We were able to enjoy some chilled Viognier and some artisan pizzas and pasta with salad and bread. The afternoon turned out great. Bella was our server. Inside Santo took care of us so well. We had a tasing and some complimentary sparkling juice for my 9 year old daughter. John in the gift shop took care of us with great service and kindness. It was a nice visit despite our initial plans not working out. Santo is a great host and takes pride in the winery!!! Thank you!!!“

“Had the Wine flights ( bubbles and reds) and lunch. The food was freshly prepared with vegetarian options. The blue cheese was extraordinarily delicious and the English Chedder along with freshly prepared fig jam and pickled tomatoes were also delicious. The chef is for sure highly talented. The service was excellent. The bubble wines were very good with lots of taste and flavor. Some of the reds were not that good. Would not recommend this flight .“

“This is one of the best spots in Atwater Village. The owner is so welcoming. Service is top notch. The food is great! We loved the fried pickles, awesome wings, one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time and the link / sausage sampler was huge and tasty. We will definitely come back to this cozy place!“
