Tropicana Ice Cream is a family-owned business located in a mall, where they make everything themselves, from the ice cream to the tejuino to the aguas frescas. The BOMB selection of drinks and snacks includes cheeses with lime and cheese and cucumber drink. Customers highly recommend the dragon fruit with pineapple ice cream, which is tart and delicious, as well as the vanilla and coco raspado. The tejuino tastes authentic, just like the tejuino from Guadalajara. The store is clean and offers a water refilling station for five gallon jugs, with a free refill after several fills. The lady at the register is kind and friendly, providing great customer service even when working alone. This is a nice spot for various Mexican sweets and treats, including esquites, vanilla raspado, pineapple raspado, and Hot Cheetos with cheese. It is easily the best ice cream and raspados in the area, with a crazy variety of items that are more affordable than Michoacána.
