I can’t believe you could set foot in Morro Bay and NOT set foot in Giovanni’s! Okay, I can accept if you place an order at the walk up window. Either way, you should probably head into the seafood market to peruse or avoid setting foot in the place and order at the walk up window ya louse….
Everything from the express to their fish market is amazing. They never disappoint. This is my go to spot when I am in Morro Bay.
I love to come eat here everytime we're in town. we went yesterday 5/11/23. Not sure if maybe they have new cooks but the food was disappointing. I understand somedays things just aren't hitting. By no means am I saying do not go there to eat, even with yesterday's experience I will be returning.
Just alittle bummed yesterday was our Wedding Anniversary.

Giovanni's Fish Market And Galley offers a delightful dining experience with a great selection of seafood at reasonable prices. Their clam chowder bowl is a standout, and the seafood is always fresh. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable. The restaurant's outside seating area is cozy and dog friendly, even on windy days. Customers often mention the fish & chips as good, and the clam chowder as great. The halibut & chips receive positive comments, and the shark nuggets are enjoyed by many. The place is popular with locals, and there is usually a big line by the end of the day. The menu features items like the California bowl, which some find lacking in protein but still tasty. The kraken fries are a hefty side, often considered a whole meal. Overall, Giovanni's is a tremendous spot to enjoy fresh seafood, delicious clam chowder, and a lively, friendly atmosphere.
