About Chowa Bowl Morro Bay

Chowa Bowl Morro Bay is a small, unassuming Asian fusion restaurant offering poke, ramen, and beef rice bowls. The food is fresh, flavorful, and made to order, with generous portions that satisfy different dietary needs. The ramen, particularly the Morro Miso Ramen, is rich and flavorful, with full of flavor chicken, pork belly, and beef bulgogi bowls that are highly praised. The poke dishes feature fresh fish and a unique, slightly sweeter flavor compared to traditional Hawaiian or Pacific Northwest poke, possibly with a California twist. The poke rice resembles white rice but tastes like brown rice, with some variations in marinade and flavor kick. The bowls, such as the black sesame rice, greens, roasted veggies bowl with chicken skewers, are healthy and delicious. The decor blends nature and Asian motifs with a modern, light, and bright atmosphere, complemented by nice music creating an unhurried mood. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Most customers prefer takeout, but the cozy seating area offers a relaxed vibe. Overall, Chowa Bowl Morro Bay is a great spot for fresh, tasty, and healthy Asian fusion food.

Amazing Poke Bowl, Chōwa salad and Ramen!

Really yummy ramen! We had the vegetarian morro miso ramen. Good taste. Not that spicy, perfect serving size. Lots of outdoor seating available, dog friendly. Order at the counter and then they bring food to you.
The chicken and shrimp skewers were also very tasty!
Will definitely stop by again.

Very solid poke bowl and excellent (moist flavorful) chicken skewers. Not to detract from the quality, but pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. Poke had well-seasoned fresh tuna and good amount of pickled veg. Only quibble was there was way too much rice, would rec swapping out some rice for spring greens (hopefully won’t hit the store’s margins too much).
