“Enjoyed Madi again. Food is always great. Potatoes were a bit undercooked. Everything else was tasty. Started w churro waffles - always recommend them. One of the best waffles. Chicken fried steak was a 8 on a scale of 10. Shakshuka is delicious but it is not shakshuka anymore.. it is more of a carnitas w a poached egg and cheese. Name is misleading since it is a regional dish.. (check the recipe) Setting is great and simple. Service is always friendly. Our waiter was great - once he noticed that our coffee (2 cappuccinos) was not delivered on time.. he got us replacements asap. Very thoughtful.“

“Delicious local breakfast spot in east San Diego. Warm feels, good eats, and plenty of parking.
My dad’s favorite meal is breakfast and do they for sure have endless choices of good brunch food.
My favorite? The seasonal dishes. Like the pecan pumpkin pancakes. So good I still drool thinking about it.
Plus the staff is so friendly and inviting! No wonder this place gets great reviews.“

“I love stopping by Arandas Café whenever I’m in Imperial Beach. It’s such a cute little spot and it always feels cozy. This time I got a matcha, their freshly squeezed orange juice, the Monte Cristo, and a parfait — everything was so fresh and honestly so yummy. The vibe is calm, the people are sweet, and it’s just one of those places you’re happy you found. Definitely one of my little go-to gems.“

“A charming restaurant in Bonita, CA. Usually very busy even on weekdays. Open only for breakfast and lunch; closes at 2 pm. Menu offers good choices; their specialty is Chilaquiles! If you're celebrating a special occasions; order the Mimosa Tower. 12 Mimosas, Orange, Mango, Strawberry, Pineapple...they're all delicious!“

“My partner and I went here earlier this year for breakfast and it was a mini highlight of our weekend San Diego trip for sure. The food was tasty and a good value as well. We sipped our delicious coffee in the comfort of a classic American diner setting up to and including the staff who treated us with the very same charm. After our meal, I asked if the branded coffee mugs were for sale, as I wanted a souvenir. The owner behind the register told me while they didn't sell them, I could have one for the road. A very nice gesture from a San Diego gem.“

“This was a great breakfast choice at an affordable price! There was a short wait of about 15 minutes to be seated. I ordered the ham and eggs which came with fresh fruit and pancakes for only $12.99! Everything was flavorful and hot. The only negative was that they didn't serve our pancakes until after we had finished the rest of our meal. They kept telling us they were working on them, so I assume there was some sort of kitchen issue. Not a huge deal, and the pancakes were hot and fresh once we did get them. We would definitely return!“
