“Oh my God! It tastes like Christmas at grandmas house in Georgia. THIS is what I’ve been looking for. I’m new from the east coast & soul food is hard to come by in this city. I had the catfish, greens & beans, unfortunately they were out of Mac n cheese, but judging by the catfish & greens I already know the Mac b cheese will not disappoint. I’ll be back every weekend for sure.“
“We went on a Saturday evening, it was completely empty so we had the place to ourselves pretty much. The lady attending us was very sweet and patient when it came to us ordering. The food was ready within 10 minutes of ordering. My boyfriend loved his food and so did it. It was far less expensive than other places. We paid $50 for our food which included drinks. The lady didn’t bother us while eating and she even set up plates, napkins, and limes for us. We didn’t pay an 18% gratitude fee that I see a lot of the 1 star review mention… not sure if that’s changed overtime. However the food was delicious and we’ll be going back!“
“I ordered the taste of new Orleans and the gumbo. This place should be illegal because HOW IS IT SO GOOOOOOD??????? The food is so well seasoned and flavored. Texture gives. It has soul. I'm shooketh. I LOVE IT. I inhaled the food like pacman. You need to try this place“
“Clean, inviting, and friendly. I had such a great experience dining here. My waitress Christine was very attentive, friendly, and had great recommendations. Really enjoyed everything we got! The poppers & pickle spears were nicely breaded. Great crunch and flavor! The inside of the poppers was creamy and flavorful. The garlic noodles were so so good and not too garlicky, just the right amount! The boil itself definitely stole the show with its combinations of flavor and spice that just balanced each other out nicely. Definitely will be back!“
“I can see why they call this Aces! It is definitely the top of the deck when it comes to Louisiana boil complete with potatoes, corn, crawfish, shrimp, clams, mussels and the most delicious broth, this was a meal to remember. Also got gumbo which did not disappoint!“
“Indulge in the best and most delicious Creole cuisine in town, offering a wide variety of choices at seasonal prices compared to other Creole restaurants in San Diego. Located in a safe area with plenty of parking space, the service has been consistently attentive during all three of our visits, even during peak times. It's the perfect spot to enjoy an exceptional meal with friends after a long workweek.Don't miss their 'caviar'—it's a satisfying meal on its own. Their creamy and flavorful crayfish étouffée never disappoints, and the blackened catfish is fresh and perfectly balanced in flavor, making it a highly recommended option for a healthier yet comforting meal. The pasta jambalaya offers a unique twist on the classic dish. Overall, it's a truly great place to savor the mouthwatering flavors of Creole cuisine.“
“LOVE shrimp heads! My friends and I come here quite often and the food is always consistently tasty and reasonably priced for seafood. We always order the boiled crab legs, shrimp, mussels and crawfish. It's a fun place to eat if you don't mind using your hands and getting a little messy.“
“Was craving some seafood while in San Diego so we did the Google thing and ended up at King Crab. Everything in our order was fresh and delicious down to the last bite¡¡¡ The sauce used here is on another level, it really did compliment the seafood boil¡¡¡¡ Even the breaded Lemon pepper chicken wings were nothing shot of phenomenal....??????“
“Love this place! The hole in the wall spots are always the best! I don't know if they changed the recipe for their Hennessy chicken wings but the first time we had them they were AMAZING the next time they tasted like honey mustard wasn't a fan. The servings are extremely large so bring your appetite! Pineapple Lemonade diabetes in a glass but freaking DELICIOUS. Next time I will make a point to save room for dessert!“
“First time here and the food was great!!The Cajun House sauce spicy &medium were very flavorful. Ordered the clam chowder, chicken tenders, lb of snow crab and shrimp. Customer service was great and atmosphere was clean.Definitely would come again.update feb 2024customer service isnt all there latly aswell as flavoring ... ?“
“Found this little gem when I was waiting for my tour at the Whaley House tour. I only had the French Onion soup, but it was delicious. It is perfect for a quiet romantic dinner away from the bustle of Old Town.Parking: Old Town has free parking lots“
“The food was GREAT! We went around lunch time on a weekday and it was picking up. I also got the biegnets and they were light and soft on the inside, crispy and sugary on the outside. The etouffee, gumbo and red beans and rice is what we had and all of the food was flavorful and hot from the kitchen. We saw a lot of people ordering the baskets and they looked really good. We are going back to try those soon.“
“First time visiting this place and after being in New Orleans recently, I can honestly say this place is legit! The food is delicious and flavorful! The atmosphere is very nice with a great aesthetic! Our server Abraham was amazing and made this visit even that much more amazing! Great company, great food, great waiter, great experience! A must visit while in town for sure!“
“Since I came to San Diego, I thought I had to eat seafood at least once, so I visited Crab Hut.I think there are 3 branches in San Diego. What we ordered was the Seafood Basket, which came with various types of seafood in plastic bags.If I hadn't experienced it in Korea, I would have been embarrassed.I ordered 1/2 Mad spicy, and it was spicy enough that even elementary school girls who can't eat spicy food would enjoy it.hmm. Five stars. It's the best seafood I've ever eaten!!“
“TIM WAS BEYOND AMAZING!! MY FIRST EXPERIENCE HERE WAS UNFORGETTABLE! I ORDERED TAKEOUT AND I WAS GREETED WITH A WONDERFUL CONVERSATION AND WARMING ATMOSPHERE!! I WAS RECOMMENDED TO THIS PLACE BY MY SISTER. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE IT WAS AMAZING!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!“
“I wasn't sure about ordering from a take out kitchen like this, but I'm glad I did. The food is fantastic. As a note: to order take out you need to go to the website to choose what you want and pay, then when you arrive at the place you call the number on the sign out front. They'll bring out your food.I had red beans and rice, a hot link, mac and cheese, and corn bread. All of it was full of flavor.I try to go to New Orleans about once a year. I've had mixed experiences with Creole food in San Diego. I'm not an expert of course, but this seemed legit. The mac and cheese was especially delicious.“
“Delicious! I've had the Po-boy (shrimp) several times and it never disappoints. They are shy with the amount of shrimp they add and they are always fried perfectly. Sweet tea is a MUST but the homemade lemonade was just the right amount of sweet!“
“The food was amazing. I had my first Poboy, WOW! We heard about this thru Guy Fieri's show. The music ? was jammin! I was in town visiting from Green Bay, WI and we went out of our way to find this place. Well worth the drive. The atmosphere is casual but fun. Thank you!“
“If you're craving a juicy steak, look no further! Plus, their addictive bread is a must-try. Our server was incredibly kind, and they even treated us to a complimentary bag of peanuts and an appetizer for our next visit. Needless to say, we'll be back soon!“
“I want to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding customer service at Crab Pub. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant; the cuisine is exquisite, the ingredients fresh, and the ambiance impeccable. It was truly a delightful dining experience.“
