I had the catfish and fries with cornbread it was simply amazing it was so good nice and hot fresh I'll definitely be back again and I will recommend this restaurant to all of my family and friends
Food was amazing. Alligator legs were tasty, shrimp and chicken spot on and beignets to die for. Will most definitely visit again
My spouse found a place she liked that provided a taste of creole (New Orleans). She tried it, enjoyed and invited me.
Today we re-visited. I ordered a catfish po-boy which was crispy and magnificent! The collard greens were perfectly seasoned. Golden enjoyed her dry Cajun seasoned wings, fries pieces of catfish. Our food was so fresh. Stephanie our waitress provided phenomenal service!

Based on the reviews, Louisiana Charlie's San Diego offers great and friendly service in a fun, casual atmosphere. The food is highly recommended, with specific meals like the cajun catfish basket, which is perfection with a great portion size and extra crispy seasoned fries, though the fries can be a bit heavy with the salt. The beignets are a standout, served piping hot, light, airy, and extremely tasty with a wonderful texture, though the powdered sugar can be a bit overkill. The shrimp is described as amazing and the best shrimp in recent memory. For first-timers, the Cajun food is addictive, with the go-to dish being gumbo fries, and the root beer is bomb. The food is good, and the entrees come with a side. The overall quality and taste are absolutely worth the price, making it a must-try spot for an authentic New Orleans-style treat.
