What is the one thing that you look for in the best meatiest burritos and the choice in the tacos that go great with hot sauces and the mild green sauces? There are some meaty burritos which can be the ones that have been around the block some of them have got the history from the 70s and the early 80s. There is one thing that makes a great burrito there are some that say if its the tortilla or the corn tortilla its neither the cooking and the flavor of the meat and how its cooked. The true taste of food and the way its presented is the way people see and the way it looks on the inside holds the greatest flavors there are many dishes and the tacos which can be the greatest dishes if the plate is not overwhelmed. There is one place that has a multi mix of food eateries and the great tastes of beer when you like to throw things all together and have the best time. When you come to a place, and you get to see the many eateries one place showed me the heat and the creative nature of what food is and the nature of food creation the location it has so many places you can see that there was one place La Central. With the food market that is located on East 8th street in National City you can have lunch in the outside seating with the air-conditioning with the great sounds of the city. La Central is one place when I had arrived, I saw that the main lunch crowds have gone I saw the many types of food there was nothing of the smells of food the La Central showed so much the feel of food and the presentation of food that was being served. Walking up to the counter seeing the order going out told me the presentation was the best the great looks of the food the cleanliness of the location. There is one question I liked to ask how's your burritos? One of the best responses I got is the front person was the manager and the owner of the location he told me that all the cooking is full of the best and the freshest Ingredients I saw that the menu board has some of the best burritos and many from the Sombrero's. Carne Asada is one of the best that I find that has the best I asked for the order to go with a quesadilla the flavor the food was just Incredible the steak is well done, and the Pico di Gallow sauce the cheese a great mix with the onions which were fried into the steak combined together the best. The flavor of the tortilla has a great flavor held the flavors of the meats and the juices of the combination didn't fall apart. The location of the La Central you have a great place to bring your friends and to have the great gatherings in the afternoons during lunch time. To find a great place like La Central that has all the things that I look for in great food and the many ingredients that you can see being prepared from the cooking to the prep of the food makes some of the best creations. Great customer service where can you find a place that asks would you like burritos cut in half most wrap them and place in the bag my order was placed in a warm container that kept my order nice and fresh. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer today was one of the best to have found a diamond in the rough one place that does all cooking in front of you with the quality and the food which has the best in Ingredients. La Central is one place that you can bring your friends and coworkers to have the best in tacos and Burritos that you can take home with you.

I tried this place based off of an IG video I found claiming they found the best birria tacos in San Diego. While, the food was enjoyable.. I wouldn't claim anything like that. I tried the birria and pastor tacos and found that the pastor was much more enjoyable. Probably will not be back, but it was worth the experience. The man at the counter did tell me that if you call ahead, you can order your food in advance so it will be ready when you get there.

Overall my burrito lacked in flavor. Odd to say because there was sour cream, salsa, guacamole, fries that came standard. The carne asada just was not that great. The burrito got me full. But for $14 yeah it was not worth the price. I only saw signs of fries at the end of the burrito and they were soggy. At times biting into the burrito I tasted some grittiness of something in the burrito. I waited about 15 minutes for the burrito and it appeared I was the only person ordering as I saw no one else around. Taking a pass on a second trip.

We ordered the Birria Taco and the pastor taco. Both were delicious. The birria is flavorful and juicy on a double corn tortilla. The pastor was tasty and tender with pineapple on a flour tortilla. We gor a red salsa that looked spicy and a green crema. I'm not sure which we were spoosed to put it on but I put it on both and it was tasty.

Place was good. Nice selection of meats for tacos and burritos. They were awesome and super accommodating making a deconstructed pulpo burrito (see picture) for my daughter. Octopus was tasty albeit a hair over cooked (and therefore chewy). While it was tasty, won't be going out of my way to get a burrito here given the $14 price point. I'd probably hit up TJ's Oysters for seafood burritos. That being said, if we were around the area we certainly would try some of their other items.

This place is super good!!! My sister and I tried their carne asada fries and tacos and were not disappointed. The surf and turf taco was the best even better than the carne asada taco. They heat the tortilla with a layer of cheese and top the meat with a chipotle sauce and pico. Love that they used purple onion. Definitely a good combination of flavors. The carne asada taco had good quality meat- I think it's arrachera. It comes topped with fresh guacamole and pico. The meat wasn't too tough for it being arrachera and the seasoning was on point. I wish they used corn tortillas though, but they were still very delicious. The only issue was that the taco got soggy with the pico...We loved that they used skinny fries for the carne asada fries. The arrachera meat was thinly sliced and well seasoned. They come topped with melted white cheese, pico, guacamole and chipotle Mayo sauce. We liked that they came with a substantial amount of meat definitely worth the eleven dollars. The chipotle Mayo sauce was a weird combination though, since it typically comes with surf and turf fries but I guess it gave them a unique taste. Sadly they ran out of birra tacos so I can't comment. To their credit we went a couple hours before closing time. Definitely coming back for more to support a small business at the new National City Public Market food hall!!!

Unlike some of the neighboring stalls, La Central has migrated north instead of south to open up a location inside the Market on 8th food hall in National City. They are tucked away in a back corner near the restrooms which is not exactly optimal. Compared to the Chula Vista mother ship, the menu was obviously more limited here with six tacos, five birria choices, seven burritos, and four varieties of french fries. The cheapest meat taco was $4 (birria). I chose one of those, a carne asada, and a pastor for my meal. These were street size tacos but with price tags that were more fitting for a full size serving. The birria was the juiciest while the carne asada was a bit dry. Overall, they were decent but I wouldn't rank them much more than average compared to what you can get elsewhere in the South Bay area.

Vegetarian review. While I was glad they were open when everyone else was not. I am really let down by their vegetarian burrito. When I cut into it... all this liquid came out. That's when I knew this would not be very good at all. Basically the burrito is filled with fajita type veggies and some guacamole. It is just a watery sad mess. I mean maybe it was for vegans? But I suppose they wouldn't like a soggy let down either? I can't say for sure... It is so rare for me to still be hungry after a meal or even a snack. If you read my reviews (you don't, so take my word for it) I often will take a meal and snack on it all day. I get full very quickly. It is in my nature. However... here I sit. So hungry still. A tortilla wrapped in some wet veggies and a slap of watery guacamole isn't going to cut it. They did have a side of hot sauce which was good but also watery.... It was as of a sad rainstorm broke out on only my food... Good on them being open and also I see that the other food they put out is legit looking. But if you don't eat meat don't bother. Go have another beer and eat your heart out when you watch the other diners... it's cheaper and more filling.

La Central has now moved into the the Market on 8th in National City. They are offering familiar Mexican foods in the form of tacos and more north of the order Mexican eat carne asada fries and such.I had a pair of beef birria tacos which were good, but could be great if they better develop the flavor of the birria, specifically the consommé. Also, they need to better give those corn tortilla some love and add consommé to them as they are on the hot griddle, not just pour the consommé onto them after the tacos are prepared and done. The beef was very tender and well season, but should be soaking directly in that rich and semi thick soupy concoction that birria is so very famous for. The staff members are all very nice and they do make a mean looking plate of carne asada fries that I observed, but have yet tried. Soon...
