Java Johns Reviews
The most friendly people work for Elizabeth the owner, and obviously love working there. A local hangout with an awesome “Feng shui” fun relaxing atmosphere!

A definite regular for sure☕️
Don't recommend them for the scones only as the rest of their stuff I have not tried, but I ordered a scone - it was one of the smallest, most expensive scones I've ever had at $6 (!!!) They are normally $3.50-$5 elsewhere. When the gal was grabbing it and I saw how small it was I almost wanted to cancel the order but felt as if it was too late. Maybe I'll come back and try something else that's not so expensive.

Java Johns is a cozy and welcoming cafe in the heart of Nevada City that offers delicious coffee, chai, and freshly baked bagels. The staff are friendly and efficient, often having orders ready quickly even when the cafe is busy. Customers praise the quality of the coffee and food, as well as the reasonable prices. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with local art decorating the walls. Visitors enjoy the great atmosphere and friendly service, with favorites like the americano and hot s'mores latte. Some guests have noted that service can vary, mentioning that the staff sometimes seem less engaged. However, many appreciate the cafe's independent charm and the tasty offerings, including the club sandwich, egg bites, and chocolate chip cookies.
