We came around noon and the place was quiet. We ordered a piccolo (10 in.) sized pesto pizza and the wait time for the food was less than 10 minutes. A few customers came in after us while we were waiting. The pizza itself tasted good. There was a lot of mushrooms and tomato and pesto covered with a layer of cheese. It's a good spot if you want some food to eat, especially because there are other dishes such as pasta or salads.

I can tell why there are certain people that don't like the place because the crust is very crunchy but it is so loaded that it is really good I am surprised by the other ratings because I completely disagree

Came by Azar’s Gourmet Pizza on a Saturday around 2 PM. Got a slice of cheese pizza for $7.02—simple, fresh, and tasty. The crust was crisp, and the cheese had good flavor. The shop smells amazing as soon as you walk in.

Located near the Balboa Fun Zone and just steps from the ferry dock, it’s a convenient stop if you’re in the area. Pizza took about 5 minutes—hot and fresh. Plenty of seating inside, even on a weekend.
