It's a dive bar, but their Turkey sandwich, which took 32 min to arrive, was superb! Actually, it's worth the wait. Beer was cold, bar strangers were fun, and the waitress was very apologetic for the long delay in food coming out of the kitchen. Bar tender was friendly and fast.
We love Blackie’s by the sea!! The bar was actually named after the original owner.
Founded in 1953, it is a Newport Beach institution. With amazing ocean views, in a cozy and friendly dive bar environment. The best pickled eggs ever made, gourmet, sausages, and amazing turkey Panini sandwiches. Pool tables, and ice cold beer, pouring at 29° with the beer temperature on a live thermometer on the wall.

Stopped in after a walk along the beach. Bar has some great character. Sat up at the bar, was treated so well by the bar tenders.
