Shocked by the positive reviews. Stopped by for the first time and ordered three different lattes - the honey, lavender, and hazelnut. We ended up throwing them out. Zero flavor, hardly any espresso and nothing but steamed milk.

Neat little coffee shop located on Balboa Island. Serves excellent lattes and flat whites. Beans are roasted off site. Interior of store exhibits include an old coffee roasting machine which was very cool. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The owner was born in Canada and played in the NHL but developed a passion for coffee via his travels. Neat story.

This was by far one of the best coffees I have ever had.

Get the hometown iced thank me later.

Will stop anytime now if I’m in new port.

They refused to take my order just because it was ten minutes before closing. Very disappointing and unprofessional. The staff here are extremely irresponsible.

I have no idea how this place is so highly rated. I tried the hometown latte (iced).... It was completely tasteless. I threw most of it out after it cost me over $6, that's how bad it was.

Perhaps the dirtiest coffee shop I’ve ever been in . Ice tea was pretty good but staff was too short or not tasked to clean .
Floor was much dirtier than street outside .
