San Shi Go Newport Beach Reviews
Great omakase experience, indulged in the various kind of sushi with fish fresh from Japan. The appetizer was like a vintage painting combined by surprising ingredients. The interaction with our chef was priceless and he was both professional and funny. Will come again for sure. Only downside was to look for parking nearby as they don't have parking provided.
Great sushi. Must try
My dining experience here was nothing short of spectacular. Every single course was prepared with such precision and care, showing a real commitment to quality and artistic presentation.
The tempura was perfectly fried and light, and I especially loved the small touches like the delicate gold flakes on the black beans. It is rare to find a place that balances such sophisticated techniques with such a welcoming atmosphere. I will certainly be returning soon.

Based on the reviews, San Shi Go is a 5-star dining experience known for its freshness, craftsmanship, and intimate sushi setting. The quality of the fish is exceptional, with everything tasting incredibly fresh, clean, and carefully selected. The omakase-style experience lets the chef guide the meal, featuring a thoughtful progression of flavors from delicate sashimi to perfectly seasoned nigiri. The smaller, personal sushi bar creates a focused and calm atmosphere where guests can watch the chefs work. Service is attentive without being overwhelming, and the pacing of the meal is well handled. Specific meals mentioned include wagyu, live spot prawn, shirako, tempura crab, soft shell crab roll, blue crab California roll, yellowtail avocado, jumbo shrimp & vegetable tempura, salmon skin salad, special agedashi tofu, and beautiful cut nigiri. The tempura is light and crispy, and the rice is nicely seasoned and served at the proper temperature. The only downsides are the higher pricing and limited seating, with reservations being important. Parking can be a pain on weekends, and the environment is not high end compared to its price. Overall, San Shi Go offers fresh, precise, and beautifully executed sushi with a refined omakase experience.
