Quite simply the best restaurant in Newport Beach. Food, service, wine list and ambience all top notch. Forget "concept" restaurants and go to The Dock where the "concept" is great cooking and great service!

Charming restaurant on the waterfront with views of the boats on the harbor. The staff is very friendly and attentive, food and drinks are amazing! We started with the blue crab tower and it was delicious with big lumps of crab. We had the halibut and it tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly crispy on the outside and moist inside, the flavors went really well with the fish. We also had the duck and it was a nice dish that was very unique. The ambience is a very refreshing and relaxing vibe as there are only 14 tables which makes for a cozy space. All of our servers and bussers were fantastic!!

The Dock is one of our favorite restaurants. The service is above and beyond and the food is spectacular and never disappoints. There is not a bad seat in the house since they all face the water. A great place to celebrate and enjoy a fantastic dinner with friends and family!

Best restaurant ever! Our waiter very enthusuastic about each entree. Very positive, efficient without rushing us. Even the “bus boys” if you even call them that, are very professional and knowledgeable as well. The entire staff seems like one big family cuz they all seem to get along, help each other out and genuinely love being there. Ok the food! My gosh, most delicious food I think I've had in the states. I got the halibut which at times can be more like a steak but not here! Very light, fresh, incredibly tasting. My hubby got the filet mignon. Tender, rich but not in the yucky stomach feeling rich, cooked to perfection- full flavor. Their sauces are just delicious. You honestly won't find a better meal or staff! Thank you The Dock

We had another fantastic meal at The Dock. Yes, the prices are high but that seems to be the norm at nicer restaurants. Thankfully the food was delicious. We got the halibut and the pork chop- both so good. I love the ambience and our waiter, Erik, was exceptional!
My husband and I dined at the Dock to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful experience, we loved the views, the service and the food. Everything was exquisite. I had the filet which was perfect and my husband had the special, the halibut. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks. I look forward to returning to the Dock. I would highly recommend dining at the Dock.

The Dock is an intimate setting, on the water. We had a later reservation and the transition to evening was seamless with lighting and weather. The best part was that the staff recommendations were spot on from rack of lamb to wine pairings and the bread pudding dessert. Signature drinks were delicious too!

We had the dreamiest sunset dinner, and Tiffany And made the whole night even better with her kind, attentive service and incredible recommendations. She even coordinated with the chef to customize my order exactly the way I wanted it—so rare to feel that genuinely cared for.
And let’s talk cocktails. Asa, the mixologist, is a total artist behind the bar. Not only did he mix me a perfect Last Word with green Chartreuse, but he used Monkey 47 gin without me even asking. That’s the level of detail and pride this team brings.
Food was just as impressive. The little gem salad with jalapeño was fresh and punchy. I ordered the Ora King salmon well done (still perfectly moist), and the halibut with lemon sauce on the side was light and buttery. But the real surprise? The bread pudding. I don’t even like bread pudding… and I devoured it. Warm, golden edges, melty center, topped with ice cream—it’s a must.
Between the views, the vibe, and a team that truly cares—The Dock is now one of my favorite spots in Newport. Already planning my return.
