The Dock is one of my favorite restaurants in Newport. Every time we dine there it is exceptional. The food, service and ambiance is outstanding.

Best restaurant ever! Our waiter very enthusuastic about each entree. Very positive, efficient without rushing us. Even the “bus boys” if you even call them that, are very professional and knowledgeable as well. The entire staff seems like one big family cuz they all seem to get along, help each other out and genuinely love being there. Ok the food! My gosh, most delicious food I think I've had in the states. I got the halibut which at times can be more like a steak but not here! Very light, fresh, incredibly tasting. My hubby got the filet mignon. Tender, rich but not in the yucky stomach feeling rich, cooked to perfection- full flavor. Their sauces are just delicious. You honestly won't find a better meal or staff! Thank you The Dock

We had another fantastic meal at The Dock. Yes, the prices are high but that seems to be the norm at nicer restaurants. Thankfully the food was delicious. We got the halibut and the pork chop- both so good. I love the ambience and our waiter, Erik, was exceptional!

My husband and I dined at the Dock to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful experience, we loved the views, the service and the food. Everything was exquisite. I had the filet which was perfect and my husband had the special, the halibut. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks. I look forward to returning to the Dock. The Dock is an intimate setting, on the water. We had a later reservation and the transition to evening was seamless with lighting and weather. The best part was that the staff recommendations were spot on from rack of lamb to wine pairings and the bread pudding dessert. Signature drinks were delicious too!

We had the dreamiest sunset dinner, and Tiffany And made the whole night even better with her kind, attentive service and incredible recommendations. She even coordinated with the chef to customize my order exactly the way I wanted it—so rare to feel that genuinely cared for.
And let’s talk cocktails. Asa, the mixologist, is a total artist behind the bar. Not only did he mix me a perfect Last Word with green Chartreuse, but he used Monkey 47 gin without me even asking. That’s the level of detail and pride this team brings.
Food was just as impressive. The little gem salad with jalapeño was fresh and punchy. I ordered the Ora King salmon well done (still perfectly moist), and the halibut with lemon sauce on the side was light and buttery. But the real surprise? The bread pudding. I don’t even like bread pudding… and I devoured it. Warm, golden edges, melty center, topped with ice cream—it’s a must.
Between the views, the vibe, and a team that truly cares—The Dock is now one of my favorite spots in Newport. Already planning my return.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the cozy yet elegant ambiance of the restaurant. The lighting, décor, and overall atmosphere struck the perfect balance between upscale and inviting, immediately setting the tone for what would become a truly memorable evening.
As this was our first visit, we decided to try a variety of dishes to get a full sense of the menu—and we’re so glad we did. Every single item we ordered, from the soup and appetizers to the main courses, was exceptional. The flavors were incredibly well balanced—rich and layered without being overpowering—and every dish was thoughtfully seasoned. The lamb, in particular, stood out: unbelievably tender and cooked to perfection, it practically melted in our mouths.
Presentation was another highlight. Each plate arrived looking like a work of art, clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. It’s rare to find a place where both the flavors and aesthetics of the food are so well aligned.
What truly elevated the entire experience, though, was the service—especially from Tiffany. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. She anticipated our needs before we could even voice them, offered insightful recommendations, and somehow managed to be both incredibly professional and warmly personable at the same time. It’s rare to encounter such impeccable service alongside such incredible food, and Tiffany made our night unforgettable.

Open table reservation made for 7:45 pm, walked in with our 6 year old, was seated. Upon inquiring if there was anything kid appropriate on the menu, the hostess blatantly said, no. We ordered and waited for our food until after 9. It would have been helpful to get a heads up before seated and ordering that this was not a kid friendly place. We would have gone somewhere else. As a visitor, I just picked the restaurant with an open table.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal and experience last night at the Dock. Our salads were delicious, my salmon was probably the best I've ever had, and my husband's scallops were large and scrumptious. Our server took great care of us. We enjoyed our view from our table right next to the large open window and also some conversation with a lovely couple sitting next to us. We will definitely go back every time we are visiting Newport Beach.

Not a wide ranging menu, but we found stuff we liked. The food was very good. The service was outstanding - polite, fun, energetic, attentive, not stuffy. The dining room area was nice - and again - not stuffy. A large selection of wines - we found a nice Italian red we liked. Would definitely return for a special occasion.
