“Unfortunately our waiter was distracted on a few occasions, but the bus boys and non waiting staff took care of us. 1st ordered a drink and it was sitting on the bar for about 10 min. 2nd, food brought to table...but waiter was chatting it up again w another staff...i had to ask the busboys for shreeded cheese and bread. About 5 min later, our waiter showed up. Overall good...just disappointed in distracted staff.“

“Great spot! Parking can be a little tricky in the front when it’s crowded, so I recommend parking behind the restaurant—it makes things much easier.

The food was delicious, and you should definitely ask about the specials. I had the focaccia sandwich special and it was so good I finished it pretty quickly. Even the desserts were impressive—the picture I included was taken within the first minute of it hitting the table because we couldn’t wait to dig in.

I would absolutely come back again. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but worth it for the quality and experience 😅“

“Amazing and cute little restaurant. Three servers were like hawks (in a good way) and instantly on top of anything and extremely efficient. The food was great, the cheese bread with garlic and Tiramisu were especially notable. We paid under $80 (before tip) for two meals, drinks, the cheese bread side, and desert, and one of the meals was the special which included a salad for $30. Plenty of food, very good food, cute and efficient restaurant, and a great price (let alone for being in Irvine these days). 10/10 would eat at again.“

“Between 1983 and 1995 I ate lunch almost daily at to your restaurant. In 95 I moved away from Southern California. When ever I visit the area I stop in for a bite. Best pizza in the world! The pasta is excellent. I now live in the Lake Tahoe area and there's nothing even close to it here or anywhere else for that matter (and lve been to NY and Jersey). Everything I've ever ordered there has been fantastic.“

“We have been coming to Mona Lisa for 10 years. The quality is unmatched and the service is impeccable. We now live in Thousand Oaks and whenever we are in the area we make a point to stop at Mona Lisa. We always leave happy. Cannot recommend enough.“

“Celebrated my husband's 80th birthday, we had a party of 21 and sat in the Library area of the restaurant which was private. Every aspect of our time there was exceptionally perfect from beginning to end. Our lead server, Paul, has perfected his skills and made our celebratory dinner extremely enjoyable. The food was amazing as always. The Library is private and lovely however the entire room is filled with “Library” decor and doesn't leave much room for personal party decorations which the restaurant graciously allowed. Had ordered three dessert platters for our party, guests did not consumed a fair amount and noticed the trays were being taken away without my being asked if we wanted to take the leftovers to go. I asked if they could be boxed to go and my request was immediately honored. My husband and our guests all commented on how much they loved the food and enjoyed themselves!“

“This is my favorite restaurant! I loved it back when it was on Bristol, but I have been back to the new Red Hill location twice now and it is even more of a special dining experience. Massimo has come out to explain the history of the wine and food and the sources of his ingredients. He tells wonderful stories with a great sense of humor, and his daughter who helps serve is also very knowledgeable and delightful. I feel transported and hosted in a way I have never experienced in a restaurant. The food is amazing. The fresh handmade pasta melts in your mouth. We have eaten every dessert and they are all spectacular. Every wine and appetizer we have tried has been extraordinary. I couldn't recommend this place more.“

Now let's talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal! Every dish we tried was a delightful experience, capturing the authentic flavors of Italian cuisine. As a bonus, my 4-year-old, who is usually quite picky, loved the food as well! Finding a restaurant that caters to both adults and children can be a challenge, but Romano Cucina nailed it!

“This resteraunt is near my sister, and she loves it the people, the food and the Bar! I have been there a few times now and I love their garlic bread that is free appetizers. Every meal has been great so far! The last meal I shared with my wife was Blackened Salmon with Mash and Asparagus and a salad!“

“Solid dishes at fair prices from this Italian mom and pop in Lake Forest. Is this the fanciest Italian place with a full bar and bougie vibes? No. Is it a family restaurant with generous portions and high quality flavors? Yes. This is particularly reflected in your price at this no frills establishment. The free bread was hot and fluffy, the appetizers nicely fried, and each entree or lunch portion was heaping. I loved my fettuccine Alfredo with anchovies. The sauce was, chef's kiss. “For Mother's Day, we had a party of 15 - which the restaurant easily accommodated. Our table was ready on time. The food was good, the scenery was great. The service was, however, lacking. The sun was out, so we asked the waiter if he could help move an umbrella for my 18 month old son and wife (she was on the opposite side of the table from me). He ignored us despite having been asked twice, by my count. The third time he pawned it off on a co-worker, who helped immediately. Finally the checks came - we asked for separate checks, which was no problem. Everyone paid and we were on our way. Later, my wife discovered that she had been charged for the whole table ($400) on top of the separate bill that she already paid. I was charged an additional $80, and my sister was charged an additional $20. My wife had to call the restaurant from work in order to straighten it out. So if you go in a group, be careful of how you're billed. Aside from that, it was a great meal with family. We would go back if there were no further issues.“
