“I went to this coffee shop for the first time a couple weekends ago with my girlfriend. Since I moved back to Riverside this summer, I’ve made it a point to try local businesses. I browsed the menu before I went, and I knew I had to go just based on the flavor options alone.

When I walked in, it was pretty busy. All the tables inside were occupied, and there were people hanging out in the outdoor seating area as well. Aside from the reviews, seeing all the people there had me feeling like I was in for a treat, and I was definitely right!

I ordered the Lavender Black & White and a coffee cake. My girlfriend ordered the Espresso Chip (blended latte). Both drinks were really tasty, especially the espresso chip. That one was sweeter than the lavender one. The lavender coffee is great if you like the taste of coffee with a hint of sweetness. I mainly tasted the lavender and coffee. If you enjoy lavender, this is a good option for you. The coffee cake was also delicious and the perfect amount of sweet and fluffiness.

The staff there is super nice. The cashier who rang us up even tried to rescue us from a bee that made its way inside the shop. If you’ve been thinking of giving this place a try, go for it! You won’t be disappointed.

NOTE: I saw several people had ordered the strawberries and cream drink. It’s a smoothie consistency, and it looked super tasty. Considering how popular it is, I’m sure it’s magically delicious! They have a section on the menu titled “If coffee’s not your thing,” so there’s a little something for everyone.

Parking: The shop is in a shopping center, and there are a couple designated 10-minute parking spots right in front.“

“For 20 years, I used to get all my cakes from another bakery and they went out of business after Covid. I was so distraught while searching for a new bakery. To my absolute pleasant surprise I found ‘Tasteful Cakes’. They were not only 10 minutes away from my home, but they met every expectation that I held onto from my previous bakery. I have a lot of birthday parties, and I love their cakes. Light, and VERY tasty! Their designs are also fantastic! People always ask “where did the cake from?” 😋

I could go on & on, but I won’t. Just try them you won’t be disappointed. Prices are comparable to most other places, cakes are just more expensive than they used to be. But, isn’t everything! 😏“

“While Vietnamese food is not something I eat often, but my friend and her daughter like this place, so we come here to meet for lunch once or twice a month when we can. The employees are very courteous and do their best to please their guests.

And speaking of fabulous, the service is exceptional more specifically from Jose Martines who has helped me several times with the most pleasant and helpful attitude. Today on my way out, I spoke to the store manager and gave Jose a commendation. The manager was very appreciative of the feedback and went to Jose to thank him for the job he does. Additionally, the manager advised him of a complimentary lunch in appreciation of his great customer treatment. I was very impressed since most commendation only go as far as a pat on the back. The fact that the manager rewarded Jose, means so much more to Jose and to myself as the customer. Great Job Jose and Management for taking care and acknowledging you employees. 👏👏👏“

“First time coming here the green chilaquiles actually had a good flavor it was more on the lemony side but still had a little spice. Personally would prefer it with more spice. They charge you an extra 6.50 for carnitas but they give you very little. The carnitas are nice and tender. The coffee was good so no complaints.“

But they charge you what it actually costs, if you don’t understand someone I suggest Google translate. Business owners tells you their story on the menu and why it has the name. Perhaps for those don’t take the time to read or pay attention to detail, I suggest taking the time to do so.

Food is a little expensive but definitely worth the money! My ribeye steak was chef's kiss! Our server Amir was the nicest and greatest guy! Two people made our pizzas. The girl was not engaging and tried to rush us. her pants were falling down in back, and she pulled them up. great. BUT then she didn't change her gloves or clean them or anything and touched our food to put on piizza. YUK!!! At least it got cooked off in the oven, right? But it was gross.
