“I recently came to Oceans & Earth for one of my birthday dinners and had a really nice experience.

We were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation, but I did notice a sign outside stating that dinner is by reservation only, so I’d definitely recommend making one ahead of time rather than taking your chances like we did. 😅

For dinner, we ordered steak along with the mac & cheese and mushrooms for our sides. Everything was good, and neither of the sides disappointed. The mac & cheese was rich and comforting, while the mushrooms paired really well with the steak.

I didn’t order an alcoholic beverage this time, but I have to admit that some of the cocktails I saw coming from the bar looked pretty good! 🍸 Maybe next time.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with both traditional table seating and additional seating around the bar. Parking is also very convenient since Oceans & Earth is located in a larger shopping center with plenty of spaces available.

Overall, a good birthday dinner and a nice local option here in Yorba Linda. Good food, comfortable atmosphere, easy parking, and a menu that gives me a reason to come back and try a few more things. Just remember to make that dinner reservation! 😊“

“HI, I have to be honest. I was trying to find a way to contact Flappy Jacks as I have a proposition I think would be perfect for Flappy Jacks I have what is probably a bit of an unusual idea. Or maybe just a good idea. I know it is an unusual way to contact you but there was no email address. So I hope this works. I am from Columbia Missouri and I am visiting my Son, Grand Kids, and family there, just a few blocks to the East of Tustin. I am a musician, part time, and I like to street busk (play music on the streets) for grins. I noticed your nostalgic decor and your Elvis statues and the mural featuring the St Louis Arch, which is in Missouri on the Mississippi, of course, where I am from, and the 1930s, 40s and 50s nostalgia, and I wondered if you ever considered, or entertained the notion of having a little nostalgic live music, every now and then, perhaps even if only just once as an experiment. I just happen to play that old classic blues from that era, mostly, at least in this capacity, as Mr. Fletcher's One Man Blues Band. And I thought we might make a pretty good match up. As I said, at least, as an experiment. You can check me out at Facebook "Keith Fletcher, musician." Though most of that music is from my original music shows, and not my one man blues sets. I noticed you had a nice patio area where I could play outside and it might be a nice treat for your customers to have a bit of entertainment, just for a change of pace. They might really appreciate it since they obviously like your atmosphere. I don't play loud music. Unless folks want that, but I prefer to play soft. Or at least in situations like this. I've been the house band for BBQ joints and restaurants on several occasions. So I am familiar with the proper decorum. Mostly I was just looking for a little music adventure in CA within a walking distance of my Son's house, where I could carry a very tiny amp about the size of a cracker box, and my guitar to a gig. I thought maybe about just doing a street gig but saw your venue and something seemed to click. I hope you think so too. I estimate you are about a mile walking distance from his house and I only need an electrical plug. And probably some cool beverages. Like I said, I'm mostly in it for a small musical adventure, and so will play for tips, though, maybe you can pay me with free cold beverages, especially if it is hot, and maybe a sandwich or meal depending on how long I am there. It all looks delicious to me. If you find you'd like to host me again, and want me back, that might be possible over the week, and I may be back for the Christmas holiday. I might even be able to talk my Son into bringing the kids and family. Could be a total bust, or could be a very nice thing, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Who knows? If it worked out well enough for both of us, you might even want to do it again sometime, Maybe even offer some kind of fee next time, if there is a next time. Life is an adventure. You / we, might stumble onto something good. If you would like to give it a whirl, what day and time would you think is good to catch a crowd? 9/29 update: came back for the Tuna Melt, ate within 7 minutes. No notes, 10/10 would recommend, try with hot sauce.

10/1 update: Tried the Turkey and Ham panini, very warm and delicious. Great with Cholula hot sauce. Oatmeal raisin cookie was okay as I don’t like raisins. 10/10 no notes would recommend.

10/8 update: Tried the Chicken Primavera Melt, bit tangy and as if you’re eating pasta in a panini form. I’d assume it would be even better with hot sauce but I was too lazy to grab it. Chocolate cookie was immaculate. 10/10 no notes, would recommend.“
