“We discovered a new BBQ place in North Highlands called Bear West. We tried it out and happy to report that the food is excellent and staff exceptional. We recommend you try it out, you will not be sorry.”

“They are finally reopen after almost two years of being closed we heard it was open thru some friends and it was a soft opening so it was only friends and long time regulars inside and they treated us like family. The new look is so open and a lot of natural light that looks amazing. The food was great. It was well seasoned and flavorful. The turkey sausage was huge the eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes had a good texture. The French toast was great and the fruit bowl was fresh my wife said the hash browns were cooked great and she loved the pancakes. I would recommend you try it out if you’re not looking for breakfast then I would recommend the Highlands melt or the Philly melt or my go to burger is the mushroom Swiss burger. The mushrooms are sautéed and the cheese is melted perfectly holding everything together. The food is amazing.”

Super friendly staff. Good espresso that's worth the trip. Very nice interior with lots of chairs, tables and couches.

“food is good, but for their hours you think they'd have enough sides seems like they run out of alot so early on plus the tacos are basic, and hardly come with anything on it! cilantro & onions only? They never answer their phone which I don't understand why it's even on the truck. They definitely have some things to improve on, but I will give them another chance seeing that the food is good. “They deserve to be busier but I’m glad it’s nice and quiet. Great service, very good food, clean and comfortable. The fried foods are done absolutely perfectly, not over greasy, crisp and moist on the inside. I do prefer the lemon chicken over orange bc the sauce on the orange was too much like sweet and sour and had no spice. It also needed some kind of fruit or vegetable to break it up but I am very happy with the lemon chicken. Glad we found this cute little hole in the wall.”

The owner is the best, such a nice guy. Can't say enough good about this place. We live around the corner and this is our go to spot for local pizza. You can't beat hand tossed dough. Not frozen like other big chain pizza. The service ia always excellent, they can bang out 2 pizzas in 10 minutes without sacrificing quality. Love this place!!!”

“Dandy's Ice Cream in North Highlands is hands down my favorite Mexican ice cream shop in Sacramento. Every time I visit, I'm blown away by the delicious flavors and amazing service.

So far, I've tried the milkshakes, raspas, and the banana split ice cream - all of which were delicious. The ice cream is rich and creamy, and the flavors are unique and bursting with flavor. I can't wait to go back and try the other items on their menu!

What really sets Dandy's apart, though, is the people who work there. They are all so friendly and welcoming, and they really go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. The service is truly amazing.

“Solid little fast mexican food place. Got the asada fries. Loved the salsa bar. Just wish they had more parking and turned the a.c on. Definitely just go threw the drive thru. This is definitely more basic food.”
