“This is hands down my new favorite sushi place. I will never be going back to Katsuya. Joe is quite an extraordinary chef. I used to frequent a sushi restaurant he used to work at, but it wasn't the same after he left. I'm so grateful that I was able to find him here after a good hunt. Highly recommend!!!

“I’ve tried lots of ramen before and by far this is one of the best broths I’ve tasted. It was so creamy and full of flavor. I got the red miso ramen and it was great. The other ramens were also full of flavor and doesn’t have a water downed flavor. The staff was so freindly and nice. It gives a very personal and homey feel. Everything was nice and clean including the bathroom! They also give these free puff deserts that are filled with strawberry creme and it was a phenomenal ending. One of the staff even gave us free pocky’s as a small new year festivities.
This is definitely a lowkey, hidden spot that’s worth a try. Would recommend the ramen any day. I will be going back!“

“It's down and dirty, proletariat BBQ at its finest. THAT's the secret weapon. Simplicity of design and meats that are properly seasoned, then smoked to perfection, with sauce that's on-point. I grew up eating BBQ. This place rocks.“

“Really nice place with a great atmosphere. The restaurant is clean and has a relaxing, cozy feel. It mixes new and traditional very well. The food is really good but it can be a bit bland. The margaritas are mixed really well and only $10. The staff is very friendly but they seem to often be understaffed and the service can be slow. We always have to repeatedly ask for things because they forget to bring them. Overall, it's a great place and every time we are in the valley and want Mexican food, we stop here.“

“Have lived in the area most of my life and somehow it took me this long to finally stop in. Maybe because I sleep most days and work all night, I'm never up early enough? Honestly with the state of the world, most natural disasters won't get me out of bed, but I will now actually set my alarm just to stop in for a loaded gyro and some hummus and pita. Super easy casual spot, I want to start going through their list of sandos after how perfectly balanced and filling their gyro was, but honestly it's going to be hard not to keep ordering this every time. Super fresh, garlicky hummus, great portions for the price on everything, and a quick easy lunch that doesn't break your wallet.

What else can you ask for? Don't sleep on this place as long as I did, and support every local business you can right now. I got a super fresh, filling, quick meal for less than I'd spend at McDonalds, and I'll probably be back here once a week“

“I am vegan. When my family lived in North Hollywood Leonor's was my go to restaurant. It was one of the few restaurants that my entire family would frequent. We used to eat there before it was Leonor's (we are talking 1970s). I think in 1980s Leonor became the owner... I don't know who owns it now... if it is someone in the family or not.. however, the food is great. I miss it. It's been a while. When this heatwave in Los Angeles cools off I will go and order lunch... Hopefully I recognize a face or two.“

“Came here yesterday for the first time after visiting the Thai market across the street. We had a beef noodle soup and a Thai curry pizza, they were both really great! I think I'll like their marinara sauce pizza more because the onions were a looooot for me. But if you love onions, this is the place!!!The pizza dough and crust was just ? great. Soft, pillowy. Definitely recommended.The beef noodle soup was great too!!! The perfect touch of sweetness and spiciness. Super flavorful. And the folks here were super welcoming and nice! Would definitely recommend this joint!“

“Have you ever entered a business and immediately feel like you just walked into your home where family is waiting to greet you? That was the very feeling I had when I stopped by the NoHo Cafe today. I knew the food was good as I used the delivery service before. Today I decided to visit the Cafe and I promise I’ll continue going frequently. The food is delicious but what won me over was the welcome and love you experience when you walk in the door. The staff is amazing... the Cafe has a very “welcome home” atmosphere. The complimentary cup of soup is AWESOME. I sat at a corner table allowing me to do what I love...watch people. As I enjoyed my delicious first meal of 2020 I watched as every person who entered was treated with care and joy. Just like being home the staff will keep checking to see if the food is ok and if you need anything. The NoHo Cafe is a place I recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy a good meal and to experience a “welcome home” feeling. “What an awesome find. Been to the best all over Los Angeles and this ranks up there in the top 5. Everything is very high quality and made with love. Best birria I have had in LA. “Haven't been here in a while, but last week I was craving for some Thai food, and I know in this area this place has really good food. Service was great, the place is absolutely amazing with live plants and I feel that is very romantic with very low light. However I noticed that on the menu the prices are totally different, please check the prices. As I usually like to get lunch specials, not because of price but, because I get small portions of everything including rice. Anyway the food was absolutely delicious, I ordered to go, mixed vegetables with pork, not lunch special which was very good. Price range with rice and Thai tea or other drinks about $25 to $30 bucks per person, or depends the dish, might be a little higher. Highly recommend this spot to everyone craving for some Thai food“

So happy they are in literal walking distance from my house and they are STILL OPEN for take-out and delivery during these quarantine times. I am by far theeee pickiest person and was a bit nervous the entire planning of the wedding due to not physically being in LA until the weekend of. Due to still being on the east coast we could not even conduct a cake tasting. Thankfully cake monkey worked with me and set up a cake tasting packet for my sister in law to have.We fell for two flavors and could not chose 1 (German Chocolate & 9” Choco Malt). We decided to do a mixture of both flavors. When i tell you the day of my wedding the cake was not only simple, elegant yet beautiful (my theme) but ABSOLUTELY delicious. The way they mixed these flavors to where one did not overpower the other, but still gave you a pleasing and addictive want for more was just wonderful.
