Was having a midnight sweet tooth and saw that Yum Yum's down the street from us was open. Had to park across the street at CVS because their parking lot was full (surprising considering how late it was). Upon entering the shop, that oh so comforting smell of fresh donuts lingering in the air was immediately familiar.Only ordered a half-dozen donuts, but got an extra one free of charge. 1987 to 89. Was homeless as a teen in the valley . And " Manuel " would never put us homeless kids out. So , we would clean it in the early morning hrs. Sweep, mop , wipe down the walls . Set out the ash trays and just leave as a favor to him because he always worked alone. Just before leaving we had the doghnuts that were getting thrown out and huge cups of winchells coffee. To the former proprietors. Your establishment saved my life and for that I thank you . ?

We found this place while on family vacation, and I'm so glad we stopped in!
