My daddy may he rest in peace use to frequently go to this bar had no idea this place still existed he was a police office at the time but when he wasnt on duty he was chilled at Apt. C Johnny Williams was his name. Test on Daddy
One of the few black owned establishments that I don't mind patronizing. Good music, you ALWAYS run into old friends, good grub and to top it off they are generous with drinks!

I don't know why it says it's closed bc it's not. This place was amazing. Seriously. Of all the bars I've ever been to, from 5 stars to a hole in the wall dive bar not even on yelp, this has probably been the best experience I've ever had. If you're from Oakland it feels like home. It's not over dressed trying to be something it's not. It's also well lit with a super cute back area you can smoke at without worrying because there's a high fence and cameras.
