First time going and trying the cinnamon rolls. Hands down the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had, and best food experience I’ve had since being in Oakland. I’ll definitely be returning in the future. Keep up the great work Betty and her team!

The fried chicken sandwich here is one of the best things that you can eat in Oakland. The chicken itself is tender, large, really nice to bite into with the flavorful breading. The bread is also perfect, slightly crunchy on the outside and then when you press it onto the chicken it flattens just like it should, and it absorbs the sauce without getting soggy. My favorite part is the jalapeño slaw which is fresh, crunchy, spicy, perfectly acidic to balance the fat of the fried chicken. Really a masterpiece!
An all time favorite of mine. The chicken sandwich is amazing, even five years later I am still obsessed. They have pickled onions in the slaw which to me is weird as I’m not a pickled onions person BUT it’s so good! I also highly recommend the shortbread chocolate chip cookies. Betty is great and her workers are too. They are hard working and if you drive by you know it. The line is always down the street. Try it if you can!

Visited this lovely stop with the entire fam. I got a fried Tofu sandwich, and they got fried chicken sandwiches, I love that everyone got what they wanted (I'm the only vegetarian in my family). I also ordered a blueberry scone, and let me tell you both items were absolutely delicious. I would hands down come again. On top of their amazing service and their smiles, the price on the food is reasonable, and the decor is homely. I definitely recommend you visit if you're near Berkley it's a treasure.

I used 2 eat @Bakesale Betty when they 1st opened. The fried chicken sandwich w/slaw made the wait worthwhile. The cookies and at the time coffee drinks was perfect way 2 start morning or have a great lunch. I miss the perfectly cooked sandwich.
