“Griot was so tasty: crispy, juicy and savory all at once. Totally mouthwatering: I ordered at lunch then ate the leftovers for dinner. A big plate of food with rice and beans and pikles, not too spicy, just right. Table service was excellent. Spacious patio on the corner of Swan’s marketplace, a pleasant place to spend an hour after Farmer’s Market.“

I was blown away by the artistic wall murals, the outdoor decorations and seating opportunities, the inflow of people of diverse backgrounds that came to satisfy their palette with the mouth-watering taste of Caribbean cuisine and tantalizing delicacies. I applaud Chef Ann and her Team for an outstanding job of keeping the Caribbean culture alive in this very quaint section of Oakland California.“

“I’ve been searching for good Jamaican food since I left NYC 3 years ago. I’ve tried all the more known Jamaican spots in the east bay and have always been left disappointed. I stumbled upon Nalo’s today, even though I drive by it DAILY! I’m so glad I stopped in. I’m shook. I’m writing this as I’m eating my curry goat. It’s a bit salty but so deliciously flavorful that I don’t care lol. We also got an oxtail plate. All the meat was perfectly cooked, fall off the bone, and SOOO flavorful. I need more people to know about this place, genuinely so happy to have this so close to me. It’s a bit pricey but it’s the price to pay for delicious food. And you can taste the scotch bonnet :)“

“Very nice place. Me and my family stopped by and ate inside Service was a 10/10 highly recommend. Vibe and environment a 10/10. Jahwill was such an excellent host and made sure me and my family were comfortable. We ordered almost the whole menu the Agusi soup was delicious, oxtails was nice juicy and tender. The only thing is the goat meat could have been a bit more tender but everything was a great experience. The overall rate 9.5/10 . Also try his cold pressed juices . DELICIOUS!“

“I got this delivered via Caviar so can’t speak to atmosphere (I think it’s a ghost kitchen maybe?) but the order was fast as heck and legit one of the best meals I’ve eaten in recent memory.A ton of food, generous portions, and just mind blowingly tasty. I got the pork bowl and every element was perfect. The meat was tender and so flavorful. Every combination of elements in the bowl creates a perfect bite.I can be kind of picky about food and this was a revelation, especially on a rainy winter night.I also ordered the bacon Brussels sprouts but I’m so full from the bowl I’ll save those for tomorrow.The world’s loudest YUM!!!!!“
