I am not exaggerating when I say Grinders was the sole, driving force behind our 'Bay Area Comeback Food Tour' after our geographically misguided move out of state. My boyfriend’s joy was bordering spiritual; he hadn't had this particular sandwich in twenty years, and these babies were appearing to him in dreams.

I was born and raised on the East Coast, where grinders were invented, and this is the best grinder I’ve had in California.
The owner is pleasant and super friendly. It’s great to have a no nonsense straight shooter who takes his business seriously. He provides a service to this community and needs an award.

I was very disappointed with my experience here. The person who greeted me was very friendly and lively and got me excited to eat here but did make a weird comment about me “following the stereotype” when I said I am vegetarian. I didn’t pay it too much mind but that should’ve been my first red flag and should’ve walked out then.
