Love this restaurant, the food is great. Service is sometime slow but it's worth waiting for. But only Dine In. I'm really, really disappointed that they now have all deliveries come from someplace in Berkeley because that's about a 2 star experience. I won't be ordering delivery again.

Writing this as of 7:53pm on a 03/10/24, Went in today as I was craving a gyro something crazy, so I got the gyro stacker. It's 22.05 after tax and it was worth every penny. Delicious food, came out relatively fast and with a generous portion. The service was wonderful too! Lastly, they have outdoor seating and some dimly lit seating in side, it's a good spot.

You are only as good as your last meal. And mine was not good. Lamb way overcooked and dry, I would have given it to my dog if it didn't cost so much.

This restaurant used to be really delicious. My family and I ordered takeout from them last night and the food was awful. The meat was dry, the wraps were skimpy and each of us had a stomach ache afterwards.

We hadn't been to Ikaros for quite some time, and a friend told us how good her last meal there was. So, we gave it a try. The food really was well-prepared and very tasty. We had the appetizer with three dips and pita bread. All great, especially the spicy one with red pepper. I ordered the 1/2 lemon roasted chicken, lots of food and really, really good. Had leftovers today for lunch and still delicious. Highly recommend.

Ordered from Uber Eats, got a Horiatiki salad with a chicken gyro add on. It’s not a gyro, it’s just chicken. Please update that add-on to reflect that

Our server Michael was delightful from start to finish. His friendly demeanor and knowledge about the menu made ordering easy. We appreciated him offering wine samples and being attentive throughout the evening. The food was well seasoned and cooked. Good portions for the price.I would come back

This was an excellent restaurant. We had a large party for a birthday dinner. They accommodated several changes to the size of our party, which was very nice. The food was delicious, and several members of our party are foodies and very particular. They loved it. We had vegetarian and a Gluten Free guests, and they found plenty to eat and appreciated the designations on the menu. All in all, a great experience. thank you! We'll be back!

Dinner for four on a Saturday evening. We were seated with no wait. Water was brought immediately and menus distributed. Here is where the dilemma began. As we looked at all the tempting offerings, we were really having a difficult time. From the starters to the salads to the mains, we pretty much wanted to try everything! Our server was extremely patient with us throughout the ordering process. We began with a round of drinks: pomegranate margarita, ouzo mojito, a chardonnay and the white wine flight. All were enjoyed and we settled in. We decided on the cauliflower meze (very flavorful), the dolmades (tender), the melitzanes (which came to the table piping hot and was delicious) and the yummy Ikaros fries.....Soon after came the gigantes with delicious toasted ciabatta bread brushed with olive oil and a hint of oregano. Everything was shared and enjoyed (except the drinks of course). After taking the edge off our hunger, we ordered lamb skewers, pastitsio, and moussaka which we also shared (plus another round of drinks). The pastitsio came in a glazed earthenware crock and was made with bucatini (which was curled around within the crock); it was very good (no idea what cheeses were used). The moussaka also came in the same vessel and had a rich meat sauce, but could have used somewhat thicker slices of eggplant (not that it wasn't delicious, because it was)! The only letdown was the lamb skewers. Our server asked us how we wanted the meat cooked and we agreed on "medium-rare." After being presented and tasted, the marinated flavors were excellent, but the lamb itself was grey/well done, which probably accounted for its overly chewy texture, and difficulty in cutting. We mentioned this to our server and he offered to get us another order, but by that point we were getting full and didn't want to bother. [it was not taken off the bill] Throughout the meal, our server kept an eye on our table. When we needed more time to decide, he was accommodating and did not rush us. That is really appreciated! We ended the meal with the greek yogurt parfait, the rice pudding, the galaktoboureko (a warm filo roll stuffed with pastry cream, flavored with lemon and cinnamon)........and an after dinner tea with lemon and a greek liqueur. We had a very nice time, ate a lot of good food, had good service and came away happy with our meal. I think that is what a restaurant meal is supposed to be about, so thank you Ikaros.

Excellent handmade falafels. Tasty cauliflower dish. George, chef/owner, was great to speak with at our table.

The waitstaff were so inviting! They allow dogs outside and the food was delicious and flavorful! I got the lamb breakfast plate and the champagne flight. Great service, good for people watching and it looks like they have a happy hour with food and drinks that I will have to try!

Ikaros is a charming Greek restaurant with a varied menu. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding, attentive, but not hovering. The owner introduced themself and was very informative and interesting. We shall return.
