One of the best breakfast /brunches in the Bay Area, and so very undercover. This is an unassuming storefront on Market, not far off of San Pablo. With a bright interior, pretty artwork on the walls and a great ongoing r&b soundtrack spanning 40 years, this has a casual, comforting ambiance. Family owned, and ... very true to the Bay... raising/growing much of the food that is served, this is farm to table at a very intimate level.

This place is so cute and food is great! I especially likes their chicken and waffles brunch item. So good and tasty. I will definitely come back for more since I live around the corner. I really hope this small reatuarant is successful despite the location. Oh and service staff were so friendly and awesome too!! :)

Hidden gem in the Hoover Foster/ West Oakland!!! Feels like a genuine Ma/Pa diner! Atmosphere: Small and tight space like the rest of The Bay but feels homelike, warm, and welcoming. Service: relatively quick, helpful, and good. I ordered homestyle potatoes with chimichurri instead of French fries but they messed up and brought out both. Here's the good part, they let me keep both, no charge! Happy fry guy here. Food: I started with a mocha coffee which was really good. The blackened cod sandwich w/ added avocado was on point!! The sandwich comes a bit soggy due to the natural juices of the cod and the added sauces so it can be a bit messy but worth it! The fries were so good and crispy so I'm glad they messed up my order up. Haha. The Chimichurri was actually not so good and made the homestyle potatoes not as enjoyable. I come from Miami, where chimichurri is on every piece of steak. If you can't make it right, you won't last long. I know a good churri when I taste it and that ain't it chief. My only complaint there. Prices: $-$$, a bit high for the area but quality of the food made it worth while. Check them out! You won't be disappointed. I'd go for a bunch type of meal. Their chicken n waffles looked amazing as well. Happy dining!

Small menu, but every item done very well. Friendly and attentive staff. I ordered an eggs Benedict with blackened cod. The kids burger is basically the same as the adult burger but slightly cheaper. The kids chicken strips is the same chicken that comes with the chicken and waffles. My family enjoyed it and the hot chocolate was tasty.

Finally, got the chance to visit this place with my kids and I must say that I will be back really soon. Everything that we ordered was delicious. My plate was enough for me to have it for lunch and dinner. Sad to say that wasn't the case for my kids... They ate everything before we made it to our destination. Lol I am looking forward to coming back to try everything else

For some reason I wasn't aware of Ivy Moon despite it being not far from where I live here in Oakland, so when it popped up as an unfamiliar but highly-rated option when I was looking for delivery here on Yelp, I decided to give it a try. It didn't disappoint. My order arrived within minutes - much, much earlier than originally quoted - which meant that my fried chicken sandwich was still pipin' hot and sooooo yummy that I just couldn't put it down after the first bite. As if the ginormous sandwich wasn't filling and joyously waistline-enhancing enough, the Southern Mac and Cheese was also mmmm-mmmm-goood. I also ate it in a flash. I was so impressed that I had to stop by and give it a try. The blackened cod sandwich was also impressively sized and well-prepared. It came with a generous portion of well-seasoned fries too. And, of course, the mac and cheese was a must-have. Service was also friendly and cheery. It looked like they drew a steady stream of community members even at the tail end of their weekend opening hours, so here's hoping they continue to see even more success. This review is LONG overdue. I first found out about this lovely restaurant on Memorial Day. Not only was this one of the only restaurants open, but they are literally the best spot in West Oakland for breakfast/brunch. We ordered the French toast and chicken and waffles and holy moly, it was absolute bliss! Perfectly seasoned, aesthetically pleasing, great portions, all of that! Since the first time, I think I've been back 3 or 4 times. And they are CONSISTENTLY impressing me. Thank you to this lovely establishment for being so fantastic!

Ivy Moon is a WONDERFUL restaurant. Came here for Father's Day brunch with Oliver T. And the restaurant was packed, there was a band playing outside, and the energy was just fantastic. The patrons varied from yuppies who found this place on Yelp to black families celebrating Father's Day. We were lucky to get seated immediately right before a wait started. We both ordered the Louisiana Hash and were very satisfied. The eggs weren't perfectly poached or anything but I was very satisfied with the portion of potatoes, sausage, peppers, onions, and spinach. The flavors and hollondaise sauce were also great. Service was also on point even though they were so busy. I left feeling so warm and taken care of !
