This restaurant is one of the best traditional Afghan restaurants in the Oakland area. It offers more than just delicious food; it introduces guests to Afghan culture and the warm hospitality that Afghanistan is known for.
I highly recommend this restaurant to people of all backgrounds who want to experience authentic Afghan cuisine at least once. You can truly taste the difference between their fresh, homemade food and the frozen or pre-made food served at many other restaurants.

This is the best Afghan food in the Bay!! So happy we stumbled across this gem! It tastes like eating at your friend’s grandma’s house. The lamb kebab was so tender and perfectly cooked. Easily the best mantu and bolani I’ve ever had! Will be back for sure!
Such a gem. A simple menu that does Afghan staples incredibly well, reasonable prices, and the family running it are warm people whose love for their land is reflected in their cooking. Don’t sleep on this!

It’s like being invited to their family living room. Every single dish that needed it, the meat just fell off the bone. Highly recommend the kebab, the mantu, and the kabli pulao. The service is amazing, with great care shown by owner and staff, and guests feel very welcomed. This restaurant is a gem for people of all backgrounds who want to experience authentic, fresh, healthy, and flavorful Afghan cuisine. It is definitely a place to try and will be a spot to return to.
