This place is like your local bakery in Oakland! There's a good variety of things to choose from and the cashiers there are super friendly and helpful. I only came here to get one thing, and it was this round foccacia that I ordered. Foccacia is one of my favorite breads and this one stood out to me the most. It was dense but had a good chew and I like the toppings that were added on top of this. If only there was a toaster or microwave, I would of loved to try this warmed up.

Quite possibly the best fruit tart I have had in a long time. The fruit is very fresh and sweet and I love how beautifully it is arranged. The shell is very buttery and indulgent. Every bite with the fruit, cream, and shell was so amazing. I will be back.

La Farine has the best fruit tarts in the area but they sell out quickly so make sure to get there in the morning if you want to snag one! Parking is ok (all street parking). I just wish one opened up on the peninsula :)

Always have a good selection and product is consistent. Had apricot cookie. It was pricey considering it was a 2 bite treat. Counter staff was very pleasant.

The cookies. The cookies. The cookies. That's why I come here. When I need a quick dessert for a casual potluck or treats for a kiddo or just something for me, I come here. Cookies are always on point. The almond tea cake--good gosh it's yummy and so is the one with chocolate chips and cranberries and nuts--can't remember the name. There's often a line in the morning but worth the wait. I recently purchased the almond torte and it was not great--kinda dry. But their cookies--always excellent. I go about 2x a month.

Friendly and fast wait staff. Wonderful pasteries and breads. I really value this neighborhood bakery and would be very sad to have anything happen to them. I hope their success now and for many years to come. They have my support.Parking: Parking can be found behind bakery and across the street in the CVS lot. Very accessible.

If you want good croissants or almond croissants go buy the frozen ones at Trader's Joe. They are imported from France, your house will smell good when you cook them and they taste much better than the expensive ones from La Farine that have never to do with French croissants. Also in the almond croissants, you will be lucky if you can taste the almonds.La baguette rustic is good.
