Everything seemed covered in meat fat, cheese, aioli, butter,m, but somehow still under seasoned and lacked any flavor but fat. Honestly it was overwhelming how greasy and choleric everything was without any balance of crunchy fiber or bright acid such as pickles (they were weak and floppy), tomatoes, slaw, side salad, or bitter greens. Everything we tried was a fatty grease bomb that made you fear for your arteries. It was hard not to get grossed out after a few bites… of the four of us, not one person finished their meal.

We love this place. The food is spot on, the service is friendly and we love the crowd. The food is delicious, the drinks are well-made (the bar was worth the wait) and the menu changes up now and again which keeps it fresh. Love the brunch. The mimosas are high quality where other places scrape the bottom of the bubbly barrel. Thanks to Matt Horn for giving this to Oakland.

I had high expectations as I love horn bbq, and was really hoping to find a local staple to drop in on regularly. Overall, it’s a solid diner joint but at fancy pricing. The service was a bit long, but I realize they’re just starting as a restaurant. My favorite burger place in east bay still remains smokehouse .

Came here for brunch and was very excited to try this place. They don’t have a website, which takes away a little legitimacy to this place and makes it super difficult to even know what’s on their menu, but luckily was able to spot some of the items on social media. Service was great but the food was average. I ordered the lobster Benedict. I had to return my food twice because it was cold (specifically the potatoes). Each time they brought it back it was the same temperature , which was disappointing. I also ordered a side of bacon and the bacon was burnt. The lobster and hot links tasted great but my friend and I could barely finish our plates because the sourdough bread was so hard to cut into. My friend gave up and barely ate her food. I will give them a 10/10 with the bottomless mimosas. They gave you a huge portion, like a fully filled wine glass, and the drinks were STRONG. So if you’re ready to turn up in a nice atmosphere I would def say come here. But if you’re looking for a tasty brunch, you will be disappointed

Good atmosphere! This place has a great vibe, but the food amd service needed a little work. Food was lukewarm and not alot of flavor...2 servers handling the floor, causing delays in responsiveness.

Came midweek for lunch, was immediately acknowledged when I walked in and sat shortly after. My server Brian was very attentive and kept a great line of communication throughout my visit as I tried the onions rings, chicken wings, and Matty’s classic burger with the brisket Chili. To top off the feast, Brian recommended the strawberry chocolate milkshake for the road back home. Overall great experience and will definitely make the drive back to Oakland from San Jose to give the rest of the menu a taste!

Matty's delivers in every aspect! The ambiance is sleek, modern, and has a sexy edge – perfect for a date night or a lively outing with friends. It strikes the right balance between elevated and approachable. The food, oh the food! The wings were steaming hot and simply divine. The Matty Burger was a classic done right – juicy, flavorful, and cooked just the way I like it. But what really made our night was our waiter (and manager) Brian. His warmth, personality, and menu expertise made for an incredible dining experience. Service like this is hard to find these days. Matty's is officially a staple in our restaurant rotation!

Didn't have apple pie shake also no lobster rolls on the menu. The interior setup was nice looking. On a Saturday I had about an hour wait. Being that this place is owned by Matt Horn I expected there to be something smoked on the Marty's burger or on the menu but there was not except for some bacon . The truffle aioli was a fantastic addition though. That being said it just did not live up to the hype. If you go into Marty's with no expectations you will be very surprised and will probably rate it higher. But for me over promise under deliver.Parking: Parked in a lot next door to the buildingWheelchair accessibility: It was wheelchair accessible

The food is phenomenal! So fresh. The milkshakes were great. The burger I wanted seconds just to bring home. The Old Fashioned I had was delicious. Totally would come back.

Stopped by here after attending the Black Joy Parade. The ambiance here is cute! There's a full bar. However limited bar and dining seating. This place is rather small. My niece and I both ordered a burger which comes with french fries. The burger is served on a brioche bun, no lettuce or tomato. Just two meat patties, lots of cheese and pickles. A pickle sear served on the side. And french fries. They weren't the best fries but tasted better once dipped in the house aioli sauce or ketchup. I ordered a aperol spritz. If you like syrup then this is for you. I probably should have just ordered a regular sparkling wine bc the orange syrup flavor wasn't hitting for me. The menu was limited, I'm not sure if it's bc we came on a Sunday, but I didn't some of the food options I saw on their Yelp photos. I want to come back another day to see. Parking is street.

The "Matty's Burger" was excellent with the pattys being well seasoned and the bun soft and toasted. I also had a margarita that was in point. The atmosphere and wait staff was welcoming too. The only drawback is that it's quite small and I recommend having a reservation.
