Good selection although pretty minimal chilled. Staff seemed a bit too preoccupied chatting with each other. I feel the $10 uncharge to drink the bottle onsite was a bit much.

Without question, the best natural wine shop in Oakland, and probably the best in the Bay Area. Supreme selections of wine unavailable elsewhere. And the most down to earth, friendly staff. This place is Nirvana for natural wine lovers.

The perfect place. An impressive and delicious selection of natural wines and a staff that makes you want to come back over and over again. I live in Palo Alto, but anytime I’m in the east bay, I try to make it to Ordinaire. And if you’re lucky to make it on a day when they’ve got tunes going and the community’s hanging out there, you’re in for a real treat. But every visit to Ordinaire is a treat.

What a gift the place is to all of us.

🍷 🎶 🍷 Great wine bar with a good selection of glasses and giant section of wine bottles. The staff was super helpful. We described what kind of wine we like and he gave us some samples. Come here if you want to try new wines that you’ve never had before!

There’s a good amount of seating indoor and outdoor. We only ordered wine but they have a lot of food options that looked good. Warning: parking is busy nearby.

Wine was heavy on the ethyl acetate (nail polish remover off flavor). Not that the staff would have any clue about off flavors. They would serve fermented turnip juice if they had to. ??? I would recommend Punchdown wine bar, it's much classier.

Compared to wine bars I’ve visited in the past, this staff isn’t very helpful. I’ve been here numerous times and only one guy has ever offered tasting notes, suggestions or recommendations on what to try. They are almost downright rude in their dismissiveness. I’ve never experienced this before, as most wine staff are enthusiastic, sometimes to the point of being overwhelming.I do appreciate the parklet. It’s nice to have outdoor seating on a nice day. But with the overall vibe, I’d rather go to one of the many, many other wine bars in Oakland. I prefer being around people who are warm and welcoming.

Nice place to unwind with friends or read a book by yourself.

I really enjoyed this wine bar! The wine options were great and I found out all they only carry natural wine so that was a plus! I actually just went back again today and bought a whole case and it was so reasonable. Will definitely be coming back when I need more wine!

A little expensive and somewhat elitist vibe, but good wine and nice store layout.

Not a wine drinker but apparently this is a great spot for natty wine. Friends took me here with a box of pizza that we can consume while drinking wine. The staff are knowledgeable and give great recommendations that fit our palette. The prices are really really reasonable for this little establishment and a perfect location to sit outdoors and enjoy the nice weather with a food you brought and a glass... bottle of wine..
