I really like the food at this place. The sushi is yummy (if you like lots of sauce and Americanized sushi, which I do.) However, the rolls can be pretty expensive, and sometimes too large/ full of rice for my liking. Also the restaurants interior is a little out dated and uninviting. Street parking on Piedmont can be a challenge, but there’s a paid lot nearby.
Evidently this is my daughter’s favorite sushi spot and I can’t believe that it was my first time there. Truly delicious food! The Alameda Roll has all of my favorites—salmon, tuna and unagi, plus snow crab! I asked for it spicy and they totally hit the spice mark. Very filling and very reasonably priced. RnR is a neighborhood gem and I’m very surprised that I hadn’t bothered to eat there before. It appears as a hole in the wall restaurant however, it totally delivers....
Visited Oakland for work purposes and met a friend for lunch. I ordered two different sushi rolls, both very fresh. The food was great. It was my friends favorite sushi spot and of course her food was good as well. I'll most certainly be back on my next visit.
