“I walked in with high hopes and with my group of friends. I walked out thinking the food was pretty good and the service was not great. Our server was gruff, condescending, and very inflexible when it came to splitting checks. The food was tasty and not as special as I was expecting. I'm not sure if I'll be going back.“

“I can't remember the last time I had fried chicken that was this good. They make it to order so it takes a little longer. But it comes out hot and crunchy. The chicken itself is juicy, they must brine it or something. I also think their story is pretty great.“

“I got this delivered via Caviar so can’t speak to atmosphere (I think it’s a ghost kitchen maybe?) but the order was fast as heck and legit one of the best meals I’ve eaten in recent memory.A ton of food, generous portions, and just mind blowingly tasty. I got the pork bowl and every element was perfect. The meat was tender and so flavorful. Every combination of elements in the bowl creates a perfect bite.I can be kind of picky about food and this was a revelation, especially on a rainy winter night.I also ordered the bacon Brussels sprouts but I’m so full from the bowl I’ll save those for tomorrow.The world’s loudest YUM!!!!!“

“So don't let the appearance deter you away from the opportunity to taste the food. There's not really inside seating it's more of a take and go. Is a couple of tables if they're available you can use them.

But, if you love fried fish this is the place for you. It's reasonably priced and the food is good. My favorite dessert was that lemon flavored pound cake.

I will say that I got the yams and they were okay, but would have been better if they'd have been a little bit sweeter and had more nutmeg.

I definitely would return

Parking: It's a tight parking spot so if you can't drive I don't recommend“

“This is a simple old school greasy spoon worth checking out if you're looking for a decent basic breakfast spot. The decor is dated & the service is hit or miss, but the food is pretty good! They have all of the classics like pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, omelets, sausage, hash browns & toast. They also have burgers & sandwiches for lunch. These type of neighborhood mom & pop restaurants are becoming harder to find, so I recommend supporting a small business & give them a try if you're in the area.“

“LISTEN!!! IF you have never eaten here and you want some soul food you HAVE to try the Luxe Box!!!!! It's pricey but WELL worth it. Me and hubby spent $75 (with 10% tip) for the Honey Salmon and Shrimp with 2 sides and the lamb chops with two sides!!! Uggggghhhhh!!! That SALMON is IT!!!! with the sauce!!!!! And yellow rice under!!! My COMPLIMENTS to the chef!!! We ate half and still had half to eat for dinner!!! Mac and cheese is delicious and the yams!!! Woooooooo!!!!! Please add some chicken and waffles to the menu cuz baaaaybeeee I WILL be back for it, the salmon and the OXTAILS...!
