Very good Pie. You know how your first time is always better than the second time. That's what I experienced but I will be back because it is very very good pizza.

The manager at the Campbell location was horrendous. We received a promo code and decided to give this place a try. When we went into the store, they managed a refused to honor the promo code sitting that they could only be used online. It was clearly pinched that the promo code was applicable, either in store or online and could be used in the Campbell location. He refused to budge so we canceled our order. We ended up going to the Garrett station and ordering our pizzas. It was not that we cannot afford the pizza. But it was the principle of the matter. If you send someone a promo code, you need to honor it.

Love Square Pie Guys! If you're into Detroit style pizza-- you must try! I questioned hot honey and now I'm a convert. Haven't met a pizza that I didn't love from here.

Let’s start off with no greeting, when my coworker and I first enter the restaurant. The cashier was not helpful, just pointed to the clip board and didn’t say much. Once my transaction was done he did not hand over my receipt until my coworker was almost done ordering. I tried to eat outside but tables were really dirty, but it wasn’t much cleaner inside . The restaurant wasn’t busy, had 2 other people waiting. Cashier comes out with 2 trays of pizza, hands it over to my coworker who ordered/paid after me. The other order was given to the other customers. Then returns to our table and tells me your pizza will be right out, 5 minutes or more pass by. That’s when I decide to get up and ask the cashier for my 20% tip back, for poor customer experience. I noticed the owner was sitting at the bar, so I focused my attention towards him and try to address the problem. He decides to try to flip it on me, by saying I have an attitude problem/ inpatient. He was only making it worse, instead of defusing the situation. That’s when I decided to get my full refund back. Thanks for the free soda, Cheers! I would never recommend nor return here ever again.

As an honest reviewer and a connoisseur of pizza, this is the best pizza in Oakland. HANDS DOWN. In part it has to do with your preference of pizza types. I thought I only liked thin sliced NYC style pizza. Square pie guys changed my conception of what fantastic pizza tastes like. This place is only second to Tony’s in SF IMO.

Disappointing interview experience at the new location. Staff seemed unprepared and unprofessional, making it uncomfortable. The original spot was much friendlier—expansion seems to have stretched management thin

Flavorful Square Pies — Worth It for the Mushroom & Plant-Based Options

Solid 4 stars for this spot, especially for their mushroom and plant-based square pies — both were packed with flavor and definitely worth coming back for. The other flavors we tried — The King’s, The Von, and Pork & Pineapple — were okay, but didn’t stand out as much.

The restaurant is easy to find, with plenty of indoor seating available. Each square slice runs about $5, and the average cost per person is around $22, which feels a bit pricey considering the portion size. The slices are slightly smaller than standard, but thicker — similar to a deep dish style.

Overall, it’s worth giving this place a try, especially if you’re curious about unique square pie flavors. Just be selective with your choices!
