The place was a disappointment. The chicken katsu was dried and tasteless. The Bi Bim Bop was not as good as from other restaurants. Don't waste your money.

Grab lunch here 2-3 times a week. I really enjoy the Korean Bbimbap with Bulgogi and Vegetables and Grilled chicken Avocado Roll

came here during my lunch break one day and ordered bibimbap. it was super delicious and the woman who served me at the counter was so sweet! i stopped by again a second time, ordered the same thing, and she gave me a larger portion than before. i'm definitely going to come back regularly. the first time i went, there were a few people eating lunch, and the second time, i was the only person inside. very quiet space, but i don't mind it. i like how it's walking distance from my workplace, but if i was driving here, parking might be a bit difficult (parking's hard in downtown oakland either way, but just giving y'all a heads up!).

Nothing too fancy but the chicken teriyaki and the rice especially was really good, better than most other places.

I really love this little place. The waitress (I believe also the owner and chef) is super kind and friendly. The food is really tasty and the portions are quite substantial. Now.. is this the BEST bento in the Bay Area? No. It’s not. But it’s not trying to be. It’s tasty and quick and a great option for midday meals.I love the beef and chicken bulgogi equally and I always order with a beer. Not sure how but she’s got the coldest ever in Old Oakland. Also, beautiful orchids!!

Found this place while walking this area in search of something satisfying and easy on my budget. Mid-afternoon so service was fast, despite having one women doing all the jobs (taking orders, cooking, and cashiering--women rock!) She was really nice and welcoming too!. Had the teriyaki bento box with Cali rolls--yum! Love the purple rice--actually made rice less blsnd. Nice and clean restaurant with lots of seating. Weather was nice so decided to eat outside. Good prices, good food, and outdoor seating options on a busy street. I will be back!

Wanted to support local…. But two hairs in the food! One in my order and one in my friends… cmon.

Walked up to order and the lady working there informed us she couldn't fix us food because there were already a lot of people there. There were about 6 people sitting down to eat. Very strange situation. Thumbs down to this establishment.

this was my first time here! bc of covid they had to make a smaller menu and no longer do the veggie bento box, BUT the teriyaki tofu plate is amazing! the tofu is so buttery and the batter is crunchy, delicious ☺️

I went in without high expectations since the ratings were pretty average, but it was bad. I ordered a simple bento box lunch with gyoza and they were way over cooked to a stiff crisp making it inedible. The rest was below average, but nothing compared to the gyoza which should have been a really simple thing to prepare since they likely weren't fresh. All around unfortunate.

The food here is soooo good. I had their beef teriyaki bento box. The food is so tasty, you get a good portion and it's affordable. I will definitely be coming back.

This was a lovely place to have lunch. I stopped in based on the fact that they had bento boxes. I was expecting Japanese but it turned out to be Korean. I chose a beef bulgogi bento with kimchi, jap chae, and rice. Everything was very tasty. The rice was a yummy mixture of black jasmine rice and sushi rice and had a nice semi-sticky texture and looked like Cuban moros y cristianos in color. There was one older lady working and we had a nice conversation. I would absolutely go back if I were looking for a quick bite but I deducted a star because this place has very little atmosphere and served everything in to- go containers. It could just be a sign of the times, they also had blocked off half of the restaurant. I think they were encouraging folks to take the food to go.

Just stopped in here to order but realized I left my card. Went to go get it and came back. The lady who I assume is the owner came out and yelled at me "Order! Order! Lots of people coming, I cannot help you, hurry and order!" Needless to say I walked right out and won't ever be going back. Like how tf rude man. Not to mention there were four white guys sitting down already and a white lady who I let go ahead of me because I forgot my card. She wasn't rushed and got to order without any mishap. Crazy.
