They cant make the food healthier, if they tried! Very tasty, fresh, healthy food. Everything we had was super good. Kudos to them for having a veggie kebab! Even the fries here are amazing, the seasoning is heavenly. Salads are all pickled, that means the most digestible salads! Even the flat bread used in sandwich is amazing.

Ordered the chicken and lamb kebabs to go. Overall, a very good meal. Nice salad sides - creative and flavorful. Cauliflower, beet, carrot were delicious, but the sauerkraut was more like a red cabbage salad - needed more tang and fermentation. Tender kebabs both chicken and lamb. Enjoyed the flat bread - nice when still warm. Liked the clean and spartan interior and open kitchen - will dine in next time as the kebabs and bread should be eaten while still hot. Friendly staff. Worth the price for fresh, flavorful food and supporting a neighborhood restaurant.

Had a wonderful dinner. One of the best Lamb Kabob in East bay!

DEEElicious kebabs (Lamb! Chicken! Trumpet mushrooms!!!) served with perfect, pillowy, chewy flatbread and a forest of fresh herbs. Wonderful, pickly salads, a dollop of bright yogurt, a smear of fermented chili sauce and oh my god so good! Mashed lentils are offered as a GF option to the flatbread but If GF isn’t your requirement, get the flat bread and a side of the mashed lentils! And then there’s the perfect, crispy fries! The challenge here is to save room for the luscious little cup of chocolate pudding at the end.

I’ve been waiting and waiting to try the Kebabery in Berkeley.. right before the COVID-19 shut down it was supposed to open and then COVID-19 happened and it was delayed a long time.Today I decided to stop in and pick up a couple of orders to go so we can eat at home. I ordered the lamb kebab and the king trumpet mushroom kebab. Each order came with a grilled flatbread and two side salads and herbed yogurt. When I opened up the paper clam shell at home, I found that the flatbread was packed in with the other food, and the heat and moisture made the grilled flatbread very limp and it lost any crunch it might’ve had before. Nobody wants wet bread. Fortunately we have an air fryer so we were able to bring it back to its former glory. The lamb was good, flavored nicely. The portion was very small though. The king trumpet mushrooms were delicious but they were missing the bell of the mushroom. It was only five tiny little stems on a kebab stick and that was it. I was quite frankly shocked how little food it was for $18. It was definitely not a king, it was a pauper. The herbed yogurt was literally less than a tablespoon, which is not enough to even taste it much less smear it on the lamb. Finally, I like pickled vegetables but these weren’t pickled all the way. The carrots were ginormous slices and very raw in the center. It’s almost as if they were learning how to pickle, and they didn’t finish the entire pickling process. I like raw carrots, but that’s not what I expect when I order pickled vegetables.Everything I did eat was tasty, but after spending almost $40, I think it’s reasonable to expect to feel full or at least satisfied. I feel like I need to have a bowl of cereal. You guys can do much much better. My sincere wish is that this review is helpful in making it a better customer experience and product. My suggestions for the restaurant to improve are the following:1. Pack the flatbread in an insulated foil pouch separate from the main dish so it stays warm and crispy in the travel process.2. Pack the yogurt in an individual small container, and provide enough yogurt, at least two or three times as much.3. Learn how to pickle vegetables, and cut them into smaller pieces.4. Get rid of the mushroom kebab completely because it was quite frankly zero food.5. Double the size of the lamb kebab, Or provide two of them.

Obvi the kebabs are great but I really appreciate the tasty veggies you can get as well. The chicken kebabs especially are impressive in how perfectly cooked they are, not dry at all.

I just discovered this place when I recently moved to this neighborhood. And I'm so glad this place is right down the street. Awesome fresh organic food. Think I'm gonna get dinner there tonight as a matter of fact. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't.

Camino was one of my favorite Oakland restaurants, and I was so sad when they closed down. But enter the Kebabery, the brainchild of Camino's founders, still creating some of the best food around! Their menu has changed a bit during the pandemic, but they're back to their more regular offerings now - kebabs, wraps, soups, lentils, pickled vegetables, and other perfect dishes. Our go-to order is: + LAMB KEBAB PLATE w/SALAD, HERBY YOGURT, GRILLED FLATBREAD, PICKLED CHILES (and an extra kebab!) + CHICKEN KEBAB WRAP w/an extra mushroom kebab! + CAKE OF THE DAY (weekends only, whatever MaryKate--aka Camino's pastry chef aka an amazing pastry chef with her own place opening soon-- puts on the menu) They also sell (sometimes) their house-made red wine vinegar by the bottle, which I absolutely love and save for special occasions. Highly recommend!

The Kebabery is so delicious! The food is amazing, the people are so lovely, and the interior is beautiful! I would recommend getting a plate with two salads and the fries and a chocolate pudding to finish!

Order your dinner NOW! You'll thank me :) Such yummy food. I always end up with a big smile on my face. I love their lamb kebab plate with the cauliflower (tasty!) and daikon (it's a bit bitter but in a good way) sides. The lamb kebab is perfectly seasoned, with even more flavor coming from the yogurt sauce and touch of hot pepper sauce. So many flavors that blend really well together. Thanks Allison, Russ, and the rest of the staff!

Stumbled across them during a jog, and came back a couple of hours later to actually get some food. There are not enough good kebap places in the Bay Area, and this one is an amazing example for how the food should taste, and why I miss not having more of them! Nicely seasoned & baked flatbreads with character, delicious marinated meat & excellent pickles, what's not to like? Will be returning again and again!

Happy Valentine's Day to us. Finally getting to this review. We decided to get the Kebabery because they were having crab made like how it used to be at Camino Restaurant an old favorite that has since closed. They had a special Crabbyy Valentine's Day menu: Half Grilled Dungeness crab with herbs and pickled Chile mayonnaise: out of this world delicious. Grilled and Smashed Potatoes: ok but such a tiny amount Chickory & Daikon Salad:ok and a bit on the small side Extra Fancy Chocolate Cake from Sesame A Tiny Bakery: not good but looked pretty The crab was so over the top delicious that I am still giving 5 stars even though the rest of the meal was just ok and the cake was bad in my opinion.

We are locals and have been wanting to try this spot. We stopped by last night and ordered the plate and the sandwich, as well as fries and a drink. The food was good and fairly quick. However, the portions were very small, especially for the price (around $50) and when we got home, we realized they had not included the fries. Fortunately we live close, so we were able to head back and ask for them, which they did then provide. Not totally impressed overall; the food was good but not the best kebab I've had, and missing food and having comically small side portions convinced me that we probably won't check this spot out again.

Food portions are tiny. My delivery showed up and was missing three items we ordered. No way to contact the restaurant. I know times are tough but if you want to survive you have got to focus and deliver on your promises. I will never order fro here again.
