This is authentic Tian Jin jianbing that is made of mung bean instead of flour. Mung bean is special because it has a much better texture, high in protein and fiber. The taste is great, not ontological salty and not plain, not too sweet. It is just right.Highly recommend!

Great little shop brought me back to china so fast one change I would make is to get more sauce on the jian bing other than that

Dropped by this chill Chinese crepe (煎饼 jian-bing) spot in Chinatown, Oakland, and it's my new fave. The flavors are on another level – spicy, savoury, and delicate. The crepes here are next-level good, and the craft behind them is legit flawless. I like the crepe with the fried crackers (薄脆 bo-cui) more than with the old-fashioned fried dough (油条you-tiao), giving it a more interesting crunchy texture. Thin and crispy, but they hold up like a champ. You can tell the chef know their stuff.Menu's got a cool mix of classic and creative. If you're around Chinatown and craving something tasty, hit up this spot. You won't be disappointed.

I have been living in a northern city in China and I like pancakes very much. I have eaten pancakes from many different places, including French pancakes. The pancakes from An's Canteen combine the aroma and soul of traditional Tianjin pancakes, and also combine The texture and matching ratio of French pancakes are probably the best pancakes I have ever tasted, especially since the pancakes are not filled with fried dough sticks but something called fried cracker, which makes the whole pancakes even more textured and flavorful. Go up one floor. Just by looking at this pancake, I can already smell the aroma of onions, eggs and sauce, and the ingredients are also very good. I also had chicken soup wontons and tea eggs. It was not only the taste of my hometown, but also the warmth of Chinese cuisine. The new pancake shop owner is a young and handsome guy. He may be able to make traditional Chinese cuisine known and loved by more people.

I miss the older couple that ran this place before, but happy that the menu hasn’t changed. I always get the bian jing and the warm soy milk. Brought a friend along and now he’s a fan too! Great place to bike to after riding by the lake. There’s a couple of chairs and small tables on the sidewalk, so you don’t have to wait to get home to eat.

Absolutely worth it, it was totally worth driving all the way here to eat. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are authentic, and the prices are cheap. Highly recommended.

The savory crepe is a wonderful, unusual find. A slightly spicy egg crepe wrapped around an extruded, pate de choux "donut" that wasn't sweet, but gave the dish a chewy, crunchy, adictive body. Street food sold from a window on the street eaten in hand. Fast service, but I'll bet there's a line at busier times.

Love it! Traveling from a place where Taiwanese food is nonexistent. It was so yummy. Felt like home. Truly made my day.

I always stop for jian bing if I'm nearby and the couple than run the shop are always so nice. Just a couple seats if you want to eat there though.

The wonton soup is wonderful and you should have it whenever you're sick, or it's under 50 degrees outside, or if you just feel like having good soup. The tea eggs are smooth and soft and you could eat 12 of them in one sitting. Obviously, don't do that. But you could. The crepes are a top 5 food to eat with a moderate hangover. Get the hot sauce. The people who run the shop are sweethearts and they take Zelle.

Tian Jin Dumplings is a hidden gem. The crepes are outstanding and the owners are super friendly! It's definitely a top favorite for me and my husband. Highly recommended!

Finally got to try this place. The place is very unassuming, but the owners are super nice and easy to understand. They speak at least English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, but who knows, maybe they speak more languages. The savory tianjin crepes were good, but I wished there was more preserved vegetables. Also it was a little dry. Definitely big enough for a single meal. Not too shabby for a quick bite. I might consider the won ton soup next time.

One thing I notice about restaurants in Asia vs the west is that a good chunk specialize in one thing and execute it excellently. That's what they're giving at this spot.
