A very nice zoo with large environments for animals from around the world. There are also some great views across the bay.
Reasonably priced tickets, but buy online at zoo website.
Be sure to take the gondola up to the higher California trail level for some great views as well as native California animals. We saw eagles, condors, buffalo and a wolf. Unfortunately the bears, grizzly and black , were hiding.

Definitely recommend going, it is well kept. People who work there inform and answer any questions you might have about the animals on site. Animals have water , food and lots of shaded areas. There’s benches all over the zoo, lots of restrooms not far from each other and playground area for the little ones. You can take your own snacks and drinks and they have snack and food sold there too
We went Glowfari, and we ordered chicken quesadilla which was super great.And they even sell hot coffee (which had not been there!)My friend ordered korean something, she said it was sooo yammy, too.They might upgrade their menu! Awsome!!
