I LOVE this place, but I made an order, online at 9:15 pm, last night - they were actually closed, and no one answered the phone. Please adjust your hours, PUBLICLY.

Great food, good sized portions, reasonably priced. Have had both the Vegetarian and Meat Combo platters. Central location right next to Swan’s market. Kind and non-intrusive service. My go-to for Ethiopian food in downtown Oakland. Highly recommend!

Food is quite good. Had some mixed results, but this time it delivered. If staying at the Marriott it is worth a visit to avoid the usual hotel fare. My food had some kick and a lot of flavor, on par with many of the spots in LA. Combo too much for me to finish. Friendly service but not super attentive (but what did I really need? They kind of just left me alone to eat and read). She was gracious and turned down the music when I walked in. Highly recommend. Veg friendly as expected at Eritrean or Ethiopian.

The food here is absolutely amazing and the lady who waited on me and my friend was really kind. I can’t recommend this place enough, the portions were generous and the food was really well spiced and seasoned.

i am totally disappointed by the service and the food quality. i ended up paying 10$ for a single corona beer and 45$ for hookha which is very pricy place. not recommended at all. Above all, the owner is rude and seems drank.

I got the veggie combo and it was absolutely amazing. It was flavorful and had a great spice. I frequently eat Ethiopian food in San Diego and was thrilled to find a location while I was visiting. I will be back.

Dine-in on a Thursday evening. Food was delicious and the people were friendly! We had the veggie sampler and the dorho chicken - highly recommend both. Our order came out quickly and the portions were so big that we ended up with a to-go box. Reasonably priced too. My dining parter said this was better than the several other Ethiopian/Eritrean places we've been to. I'll gladly go back!

I usually take pictures of the places I review, but the second the kitfo special hit the table the only thing on my mind was taking a big piece of injera and soaking up every last bite. This is hands down the best Ethiopian place I have ever been to, and I used to live in Washington DC (which has America’s largest Ethiopian population). It has a small staff so don’t come here if you’re in a rush — your patience will be rewarded.

The food is fantastic not to mention the portions are really well sized as well. Had both veggie and meat combos previously and it’s all good. Honestly, more people should be coming here!
