Went in with the wife and you can feel the racist tension as soon as we walked in this place, with a name like Juan’s you’d thing Mexicans/latinos would be welcomed but you’d be mistaken, we left and ate elsewhere. If I’m spending my money the least you can do is look at my eyes when you ask me a question …… STAY AWAY

This is legitimately the best Mexican food I’ve had in forever! As a wedding photographer I travel north often for shoots, we always make a point to stop and enjoy on our way through or when we are anywhere near Pismo!!!

This place is a 10/10 ! Must try !! The service is outstanding and quick , food is amazing and they have a kids menu which is great!!! We ordered the enchiladas chicken mole. I thought they tasted a little too sweet, but my wife is Hispanic and said they tasted great. The rice and refried beans were good. The chips and salsa were just okay. We also ordered the lime margaritas, which tasted average. The staff was efficient and friendly. The prices were a little high, even for California.
Chips and flautas tasted of stale oil, after taste was bitter. Jesus Christ change out your oil. & For 20$ for 2 flautas you’d think it would at LEAST taste good. Awful. ? don’t waste your money!

The jalapeño cheese shrimp is delicious, but it has much to be desired!!! There is lots of cheese, a TINY piece of shrimp and a slice of a small jalapeño. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT ORDER THIS ANYMORE!!!! SO DISAPPOINTED 😔 😢☹️

First time at Old Juan’s Cantina and ate a lot of food. The shrimp fajitas and jalapeno poppers were good. The vegan tacos were surprisingly delicious. My only complaint was lack of heat, temperature wise and spice wise. Food was all a little tepid. The chips were stale. If everything had a little more heat and flavor, and chips were fresh, I’d give it 5 stars.

I was disappointed in the service and the quality of the food. It's been a year and a half since I last had dinner there. They brought me the wrong order, first then it took another 25 minutes to get the right order delivered to the table, so My wife was finished by the time my food finally arrived. It was my birthday, so It really wasn't a good experience. I have been going there for 40 years. They didn't even really try to make it up to me, the waitress just said that it was busy and the cook made a mistake, she had the order with the plates of food!! I'm really disappointed in the whole matter, I'm very disappointed in their response!!
