Izzy's Smoked BBQ is a fantastic little gem of a restaurant. It is located in a commercial catering kitchen in a strip mall and is primarily open for takeout on Fridays and Saturdays only. The owners are a friendly, welcoming, and polite couple. The space is small and cozy with one large communal picnic table for dining in, but takeout is easy.
The menu features authentic smoked BBQ. The ribs are fabulous, smoky, moist, and fall off the bone. The tri-tip is a highlight, served thinly sliced which makes it tender, perfectly smoked, and delicious. The BBQ pulled pork is moist with the perfect amount of smoke flavor. Their rich and delicious BBQ sauce complements everything well. Sides are excellent, including velvety mac and cheese with well-balanced cheeses, creamy red potato salad, hearty BBQ beans with great smoky flavor, and delicious cole slaw. The cornbread is done right—moist and not crumbling. Meals are very reasonably priced, with combo meals available. As they can run out early, it is highly recommended to order ahead. This is a must-try spot for great BBQ.
