I recently stopped at Blue Plate Special in Northern California with my daughter and boyfriend during our drive to Vancouver BC. The spaghetti was absolutely delicious, and my boyfriend enjoyed the enormous Big Joe Burger with perfectly cooked tots. The waitress was incredibly helpful and had a great sense of humor, making our dining experience enjoyable. We loved this little gem of a place!
We had a large group - 14 of us - and never eaten here before. It was clean and nice inside.. Food was delicious, everyone said their meal was great. I had the spaghetti, husband had the French dip, many had the steak, several had the clam chowder or burger and no complaints from any of us. Service was excellent. Prices were reasonable. We will be back.

Saw the signs on the highway so giving it a run. About what you would expect for a dinner out away from the city. Menu was again no real surprise. Breakfast was available at lunch which is always a welcome thing. Waitstaff were quick to seat and get a drink. Very pleasant. Typical California prices. Didn't help I ordered what I wanted not a meal. The interior is dated. But clean. I think I prefer a place like this. New and shining doesn't mean they have a well broken in flattop....read full review
