Just tried El Fortin as they had a food booth at the Guelaguetza in downtown Oxnard. The tlayuda was one of the best that I have tasted. The chorizo on it was delicious. My wife and a cousin had a quesadilla with mushrooms and flor de calabasa. It was served on a home made corn tortilla. Simply phenomenal. This will be my go to place for authentic Oaxacan food like my jefita used to make. Staff was very friendly.
Amazing food! Puro Oaxacqueno! I spent time in Oaxaca known as the "culinary capital of Mexico" and this place lives up to the reputation. You must get a Clayuda, it's the most popular dish in Oaxaca and its big Like a pizza, but that is where the similarities end, you can fold parts and eat it with your hands. Enjoy, nice staff even gave me a slice of amazing tres leches cake! Tks
