This is our go to place for special evening. Usually the food is exquisite. Our last visit however left us a little disappointed with all the fish tasting quite bland. We assume it was just an off night and we'll definitely go back for another try.
Packed, very popular restaurant with cozy ambiance. Truly great Japanese cuisine which makes it easy to overeat but so worthwhile. Best California rolls we've found in the Valley.
We ate here based on reviews and it was not a disappointment. The tempura shrimp and vegetables were perfectly fried in a light tempura batter; the yellowtail in ponzu with thinly sliced jalapeño was fresh and light and topped with delicious micro-greens; the toro, salmon belly, yellowtail belly and seared red snapper nigiri was as fresh and flavorful as can be; and the seared spicy tuna roll was topped with a delicious and light olive oil and herb sauce that I can't describes...
