As a regular chaser of foods Japanese, I was so excited to discover Musashi! A small gem in Palm Desert. We were greeted by some cool jazz music in the background. There were people waiting for the doors to open. A good sign. We enjoyed sake, veggie tempura, miso soup, nigiri, sushi, and sashimi. All were excellent. Service was on point. A little slice of Japan. ??
We went to this restaurant several times before, but this is the first time to sit on Sushi Bar. The Sushi was great and very fresh. Our sushi chef, Aki-san carefully presented sushi and explained them well. We had a good time at Musashi since there are not so many authentic Japanese sushi places in the desert. However, we were sorry that there was no OSHIBORI (hot towel) and the price was very expansible. next time we should try Chirashi and other dishes too.
Freshest sushi in the Desert! Small place in Palm Desert (near McDonalds)...can get busy so make reservation's! Love their Mushashi roll, ca roll, spicy tuna, and tempura! Their ginger dressing for their salad is the only thing lacking but otherwise everything is great :)
