Review for Nina’s Traditional Greek cuisine

I visited Nina’s traditional greek cuisine for the second time recently. While my first experience was very pleasant, this visit left me feeling disappointed due to some interactions with the staff that I believe could be improved.

Firstly, I was surprised when the owner told my wife that laptops are not allowed inside because it’s a law. This is not accurate, and I believe providing clear and correct information is important for customer trust and comfort.

Additionally, we arrived at the restaurant around 1:45 PM, with the intention of ordering before the closing time at 2:30 PM. However, I felt rushed during our visit, as the owner seemed eager to close and was insistent on us leaving quickly. This made the experience somewhat stressful rather than relaxed and enjoyable.

I appreciate the food at Nina’s Greek Chicken, but I hope that future visits can be more welcoming and accommodating. Clearer communication and a more relaxed atmosphere would greatly enhance the dining experience.

The most lovely authentic family-owned one-of-a-kind Greek pizza and gyros and more. Friendly, neighborhood atmosphere. Fresh, fresh quality ingredients. Pizza and gyros are wonderful. One of our Palm Springs faves. Looking forward to sampling more from a beautiful variety of Greek fare.

Nina's is great. Been going here since 2010. Greek food and pizza are both the best! They don't put up with BS either. It's hilarious to read the 1 star reviews, all from people who don't know how to act and get told, get out! Haha. Love ya Nina and Takis

Food is traditional, delicious and made with love, you can taste that everything is fresh, made to order, sauces and dressings are homemade and fresh. I've visited a few times, and tried Pizza, salads and tzatziki with the freshly made pita bread, everything was consistently fresh and outstanding

Wow! If you get the chance to eat here, do it! We arrived at 4 PM on a Saturday and they initially turned us away due to their Take Out orders piling up. Which told us…this place has to be good! Thank goodness we were in no rush so we just explored for an hour and came back. They sat us immediately the second time. The 4 of us ordered 5 items and LOVED everything! Holy crap! Everything was so flavorful and delicious. We ate until our stomachs hurt and saved all of the leftovers. We even purchased a pint of taziki (sp? Sorry!)sauce to take home.

Things to note:
-This place has 4-5 tables.
-They are a small family business and take pride in their product. Be prepared to wait or possibly be turned away if they are overwhelmed with orders. We watched this happen to a couple as we were leaving.
-they were running out of ingredients towards the end of the day.
-they are polite and kind but also direct and no nonsense.

Saying that…I would move to Palm Springs just so I could keep eating their food!!

We have been going to Nina’s for a while now and it is delicious! The Greek plates and proteins are flavorful and moist. This is a family joint that never disappoints. If you are looking for Greek home cooking that is delicious, fairly priced, and will keep you coming back for more, this is for you!

I walked into the restaurant at about 5:40pm. I wanted to order a chicken falafel. The old woman came to the counter. I told her my order. She said there was no take out orders until 7:30pm. The menu online says nothing about that. I won't go back. AND there were very few customers in the restaurant.

I got a chicken gyro, with their house made sauce, (12 ingredient), and it was absolutely the best I've ever eaten. I highly recommend!! A smaller restaurant, cozy, with an exceptionally friendly staff. Only real downside would be the bathroom is out the door, down the sidewalk, and up the stairs.
