Spent the week in Palm Springs at the Renaissance Hotel. Matt the bartender at the Rocks Lounge is fantastic. Very attentive, detailed, accommodating and ensured we were never forgotten. I worked from the patio, the bar, the lounge and the lobby and Matt always made sure to checkin. He did this for everyone and it was great how he didn't miss a step. Now for the drinks, Matt is a true bartender and drinks were great. Stop by and say hello to Matt.
I used to come here with my family many moons ago specifically for a little appetizer at night and to relax. The menu has drastically changed and our former family favorite chicken strips has now been omitted as an option. Bummer! Regardless, I had a lovely waitress tonight who was accommodating and polite. We stayed at the adjoining hotel for a conference. The menu is limited a day the food is decent, pretty on par for what you would expect for a hotel bar, but the staff was amazing. Everyone was super helpful and accommodating even when you could tell they were overwhelmed and stressed they were beyond friendly.
