I love a speakeasy that actually commits to being a speakeasy. The entrance is very unassuming, the vibes on the inside were really cool (a little loud though), and the drinks were made with care. The one I got was described to be similar to a gimlet on the menu (I don’t remember the name of it), it was really delicious.

Make sure you look for the entrance in the back. I got lost and took me a bit to find.
Super sexy cocktail bar. Lots of blacks and reds and dim lighting. A menu is presented on a newspaper, but the bar tender at the time knew his business and could recommend strong cocktails based on your preferences. Great bar for sophisticated drinks!

The Evening Citizen is a hidden speakeasy in Palm Springs, found through a secret door. The look, feel, and vibe are exactly what you want from a luxe speakeasy spot, with a neat and special ambiance. The theming is wonderful, complete with menus acting like old newspapers and vintage cocktail glasses.
The staff is warm, welcoming, friendly, and accommodating, creating a real sense that the evening is special. Service is great, with wonderful encounters at the bar. The innovative drinks are delicious, excellent, well-crafted, and on point, featuring creative cocktails. The entire concert is well executed.
It is a quiet, elegant but still casual place, perfect to chill and hang out with friends. The space is small, contributing to an intimate experience. While the newspaper menu gimmick is fun, the lighting can make it a mess to navigate. Overall, it is a great, fun, and wonderful place to spend a couple of hours, making for an unforgettable experience that many highly recommend and plan to revisit.
