“Both the chicken gyro and the beef-lamb gyro are good. If you get the salad rather than the plate, the salad portion is about double the side salad in the plate entree. It like a Greek salad with olives and feta as well in addition to cucumber and tomato.

They have covered outdoor seating. Service is light but friendly - you order and pay inside and they give you a number and bring out the food to you when it's ready.“

“Excellent! Many fascinating choices, moussaka was light, excellent, beautifully presented. Combination mezze plate was excellent and elegant! Breads were perfect, fresh and and flavorful. Coffee was smooth, served in delicate ornate Turkish china. Staff was wonderful and excited to welcome us, help with any questions. A quiet place for a lovely family dinner! Opening at 4 pm was very helpful, parking out front or in back. Felt like being transported to a gracious culture in a family’s home.“

“I spent a few weeks in Xinjiang a million years ago and ate laghman -- the Uyghur's national dish -- two or three times a day. Loved it loved it loved it. Hadn't had any in over 25 years, then recently moved to the area and saw that downtown Menlo Park had a Uyghur place. Woo hoo!

The noodles and sauce are perfect. (The meat is surprisingly low-quality so I ask for it without the meat and just get some flank steak slicked up for stir-fry at Whole Foods and cook that up at home to add.) The portion is generous and the dish keeps well in the fridge for a few days.“
