“Not sure why it took me so long to write a review for this spot. But I’ve been coming here for a few years now, and I gotta say. I’ve tried açaí bowls from plenty of other spots, but this has been my #1 for a while. They are delicious and reasonably priced. Staff is great too and I like ordering makes it easy to get.“

“Major props to Los Alpes Ice Cream. I get nostalgic every time I come here. I have been visiting since I was a kid and the memories I have from this place are all great. The quality is just as good today as it was back then. I literally met my best friend here over 30 years ago and the interior still looks exactly the same.

I love coming here every chance time permits when I am visiting Los Angeles. It is one of those places that brings me right back and it never disappoints.

The flavor selection is amazing. Even though I usually keep it simple with cookies and cream, I have a hard time resisting the mamey and nuez every single time. Their ice creams are packed with ingredients. Cookies and cream is loaded with actual cookies and the nuez has that perfect nutty richness in every bite.

The staff and owner are always attentive, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. This place is a true Los Angeles institution. It still surprises me how many people do not know about this gem. If you have never been, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will see why it has been around for decades.“

“I came in on 12/27 around 2pm and there were 2 guys working ( Anthony and someone else I didn't catch his name tag)They were dealing with a crazy customer who was yelling at them, talking down at them over a small upcharge they didn't want to pay for. They took care of the rest of us in line while still handling her which I really appreciate. They didn't deserve that treatment and still kept a smile on their face. They kept a good attitude despite someone being rude and entitled!“

“This is a good choice when you want shave ice dessert the flavors are natural I’m allergic to a lot of colors and they don’t add any additives so if you were sensitive as I am, I has not reacted to anything that I have order there, which is very common with this desert. they had lots of colors this place doesn’t.“

Just when I was running out of soft serve I found more at the bottom lolSundae was perfect amount of chocolate and whipped cream. Banana milkshake has fresh bananas combined with thick, creamy ice cream. Overall, a delight!“

“This place has the best fried banana I've ever had and their food is delicious. Come before noon so you have chance of snagging their batch of fried bananas before they sell out.

I also love their expanding selection of ready to go food and the women running it are all very nice.“

“This place is not called el Piquin Mexican Grill anymore. it’s called Taqueria La Fogata and since they have changed owners. the food has been so much better and more delicious than ever before. everything on the menu is great especially their chicken that they specialize in. every type of food from breakfast lunch and dinner. They never disappoint and always great outdoor seating and staff is wonderful. ????“

I think the management has recently changed because they’re more attentive and the service feels faster and friendlier. “The best place ever!!!! Extremely clean, very friendly staff and excellent customer service. It is a good thing I do not ever make someone else's unfortunate experiences my own. Had I believed the first posted comment for this place, I would had missed the best sandwich and natural fruit juice I had ever had. I would recommend Ms. Lucy Rivera to give this place a second chance now that it is being managed by the new owners. I am positively sure she would want to get rid of the negative comment she made on this place and would want to recommend it to all her friends and family. Give it a try, you are going to love it!! “They have really good drinks here, I always get the taro oreo shake. They are pretty fast and the service is good. They also have a rewards system which gives you $6.00 dollars off any drink you want. They have ssluggish, shakes and Thai teas, so much selection“
